Taking a savestate just before the elite 4 from primo's Pokémon Blue TAS, I've come across something similar to that part near the end of the Matrix when Neo blows up that agent because he's inside of him Here

You spin on your toe, just like if you had gotten hit while Mario is floating in the bubble.

I hereby nominate Time Zone (J) for NES for the "Weirdest physics award". As speedrunning goes, it's optimal, but it also is quite entertaining as a superplay. This is world 1 of 6, and if I weren't so swamped already I'd be TASing this. Of the 2600 rerecords, about 1500 were dedicated to the dodging in the last level.

WWF RAW. Anyone who played this in their youth probably is aware that you can pound on the ref until he gets pissed off and leaves. Or maybe he doesn't. Edit: You might want to just set the speed to 200% and listen to Yakety Sax...

Puzzle time! How do you kill a Ridley using the wave beam, spazer beam, plasma beam, 10 missiles, 10 super missiles, 12 power bombs, the x-ray scope, and most importantly, a reserve tank? Answer (warning: May cause seizures. Especially when I miss a shot)

That's a script action; no damage. ... it just dawned on me I know way too much about SM.

Kejardon, have you ever thought of creating a playaround TAS whose primary goal would be to glitch the hell out of everything you pass on your way? This is amazing stuff, just amazing.

Sort of, as in 'That'd be fun to do'. I have too much other stuff to do to actually plan such a run though. And aside from that, there are so many interesting things to do that take a *long* time to set up or crash the game or require restarts or even ruin save files (i.e. saving the game with 00 energy). It'd probably be much better as an avi of many short clips or something. That is by far the most extreme, somewhat-applicable glitch I can think of for Super Metroid too. Nothing else would match it, the closest thing I can think of is Mother Brain's 'aim-bot cheating' which I posted earlier. The double-crystal flash is pretty neat too, but pulling it off without cheating might be impossible.

Maybe I should restart the puzzle thread on M2K2... :P I don't have any plans for that at the moment though.

One day, our well known super hero "save state man" was low on funds. He sat down and thought about how he could get his hands on some cash. "Robbing a bank? Nah, I'm a super hero after all. Winning the lottery? Meh, too boring. I know! I'll sign up for "Deal or no deal"! That way I'll get both money, and get a chance to show off my super powers to others!" Said and done, save state man appeared in an episode of Deal or no deal, though it was never aired. The TV-show was afraid that others would accuse that the the game host accepted bribes or something, since having that much luck is impossible... without save states. However, I managed to get an inside video, in form of a .vbm-file, of that episode. You need the "Deal or no deal" ROM for GBA to play it, and VBA 19. It shows save state man getting 1 million dollars in less than 9 minutes, rejecting the cases from 0.01 dollars to 750 000 dollars in ascending order. Go watch it!

I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY 13 years ago when I heard this sound effect in World 8's fortress <3 Xkeeper, do you know what determines if you get the extra tune on the 1-up? Or is it just random?
