The beam steals all your items as well. So you can't do the crystal flash. I've died in a Mother Brain beam before. It only immobilizes you if your energy is below 200 I believe. If it's above 100 then Mother Brain hits you with shit until you're at about 60. And then tries to zap you again.

Ok. So a crystal flash at all woulden't be good? I recon Samus has taken some damage to this point right? Woulden't it help to fill it up? And what bug did you talk about Bladegash?

The crystal flash is the ability to restore energy, right? IIRC... (please correct me if I'm wrong) - It uses 10 missiles, 10 super missiles, and 10 super bombs. 1 super bomb is also needed to activate it. You would need to have that much extra ammo against MB, which itself would take time. - It can only be used at critical health, with empty reserve tanks. - It seems to remove the protection of the varia and gravity suit. - I did not experience invincibility time during the recovery. I tried using it against Ridley once. After I recovered a little, he stabbed me with his tail. I promptly lost all my energy and died. I also do not recommend using it while in acid. :) With the gravity suit, I don't know if it's safe to do in lava. Edit: Fixed some points.

Hmm.. Would it be possible to avoid mother brains beam by using a crystal flash or someting like that? Or is it impossible to use crystal flash while you are trapped in the beam? Otherwise you could refill as she drains your energy.
You can dodge it with space jump I beleive. I do know that if you alternate left and right to get up faster after mother brain hits you with the first beam, then space jump in hte top right corner, strange stuff happens.

What I was getting at is you wouldn't have enough items by then time you got to crit health to use it. And you can't lose health to mother brain before she uses the brain beam on you because the brain beam takes off energy faster than than the acid and even the acid was too much. Though it would be interesting to see what happens (negative missles if timed right?), but I don't think you could survive the brain beam.

About the glitch "Blue Suit" (I like calling it 'Blurry' Suit), I think it is a interesting and useful trick.

I just watched you 14 % run Terimakasih. I am impressed! I didn't thought that was possible at all! And a BIG thanks for adding the "stay in air with bombs" parts! I know how hard these are to do and it looks really easy and cool in your movie. Awesome! Thanks again.

I think that you can enjoy my movie, thank you, glad! >Stay in air with bombs In Battle before 'TORIZO' , it is easy. I think that you can do it.(^_^) In battle before 'Draygon'(stay in air, diagonal), it is crazy difficult. It is better that you don't try 'diagonal-version'.(^_^;) Without Re-Record-Function & Slow-Down-Function, I can't do it, either.

I have to agree with Walker Boh on that one. You deserve a million bucks for that run. That was so full of surprises and tricky manuvers that it was enjoyable to watch, and I'm gonna make sure I keep that one on my computer to show disbelievers that you can beat the game even without the Speed Booster.

You can beat the gun without icebeam too, but you need the speedbooster for that...

To Rick Thanks Rick; By the way, may I ask you what does 'bucks' mean? I tried to seach 'bucks' and 'buck', but I couldn't find this word, sorry. (But I think that 'bucks' means maybe a word of praise.) >The 14% route of SpeedBooster I want to see this one, Would anyone make it?(^_^;) (I don't want to make it, because I know that it will be crazy-hard-work.(^_^;))

You can defeat them by 'PowerBomb(s)'. You don't need to be froze up.

But if you want to do a 14% run without the Speed Booster, you won't have that many Power Bombs even in the end. It's painstaking work to gather all the metroids in one bunch and then killing them with Power Bombs. IIRC they die from 3 of them, so you would have to restock at every turn (I can't remember whether the metroids drop them, but somehow I have a feeling they don't).

No, each room you need to go back and refill them. This would take forever, and be very boring. I didn't say someone should do a run of this type, I just said it was possible.

Yeah, a Speed Booster 14% would be pretty damn boring, even though interesting. I reckon you also need to have the blue suit to skip the Zebetites without the Ice Beam, so it would mean no running from Draygon's lair to Mother Brain.

No. I think that most of people think "Samus must need blue-suit". But, Samus don't need Blue-Suit. You can Boost , just before Zebetites. If someone can't believe my comments, please see this smv-file.(^_^;) http://type.s31.xrea.com/info/logimg/metroid/BoostRoute.zip Of cource, I didn't use any Cheat-Code. And, this is Mr.Sippu's idea. (He said to me, "Can you boost, just before Zebetites?") So, I tried to boost there. And I could.

For some reason, I cannot download anything you post or visit your webpage. Does anyone else have problems accessing Teri-kun's webspace?

I can answer that for you. There are three definitions of 'buck' that I'm aware of off the top of my head, but the one he is using here is slang. One definition is a term for a moose. The other definition is a term for a fast, jerky motion. But here he's using it to mean slang for 'dollars'. So he's saying you deserve 'a million dollars' for this run. Hope that helps.

Wow I didn't know you can do this. I still think because of the lack of powerbombs it would be too long to be interesting.

My apologies for confusing you. I didn't know English wasn't your first language. I just come around once in a while and post. And to everyone else... Because of the fact I drift so infrequently in and out, is a 100% Super Metroid run in the works at all?
