I think I'll make a fast as possible jump to Kraid using the morph ball and see if it really is quicker.

Hey guys, I currently don't have an internet connection at home. May be a while before we get a tech to come out and fix the problem. Be prepared for a frame-perfect escape from the space colony that will greatly surpass your wildest expectations and hopefully stir up some controversy :O)

I can only warp through certain ceilings, there is only one instance I can think of where you can warp through a wall and it doesn't save time. Keep thinking!

It's official, 144 frames ahead of terri @ escape. Preliminary tests indicate I'll be 5 seconds faster @ morph ball. The trick? This game has been out over ten years and it seems I'm the only one who has figured out how to run 10% faster :OP~ SMV posted when I get a connection at home.

You mean there's a run button??????? oh, no, what you did is, uh, trick the game out by alternating the run button and the Awesome button

I think it's funny how right after we convinced Michael to switch to SNES9x, the new ZSNES with proper rerecording was almost finished.

I've decided snes9x is the better emulator for me. ZSNES has its benefits but I now prefer snes9x. I had no idea it had improved so much since I last tried it out. Bag of Magic Food and lfe, you are both very close to figuring it out :O) I'll give one more hint and that is all. The leg bone is connected to the arm bone. You have to admit this is the most important discovery in Super Metroid as far as speedrunning is concerned.

Stop talking in riddles, you I suppose you're going to demonstrate how you dismembered Samus to allow for less wind drag or something

So...alternating Run and Shoot moves you faster than just Run? Kinda like how you alternate Missle and Beam in Metroid Prime to interrupt the animation?

I was thinking it had something to do with changing the aim angle.

I was thinking it was something funky in the running itself, where you turn around or make slight stops that somehow speed you up, like the super speed glitch in Zelda II. But maybe... I don't know... SUPER KNEELING POWER? (because you don't have the ball yet)

I still like the idea of Super Kneeling Power, though. My next guess was going to be that you can be faster with lots of small, continuous jumps... But no.

You do jump higher if you do it from a kneel, does that make ya happy?
