Red Canyon 1: Link to video This improves apon the previous TAS by 0'12"750. Also, here's a brief showcase of a strange checkpoint/minimap glitch I found (but haven't exactly figured out how/why it works) while TASing RC1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=000XdUpytlk While I already have a finished TAS of Sector α (see below), I might actually go over Sα one last time at some point after at least Devil's Forest 2 is done, both to optimise the run just a little bit further, and to properly assess whether Blood/Hell Hawk or Crazy Bear is faster, even if it potentially means giving both machines a (near-)complete TAS of their own and just using the fastest run. Anyway, here's my fastest Sα TAS from 2015 with Crazy Bear for the curious: Link to video

Holy shit, you jumped the track WHILE UPSIDE DOWN and then landed back on the track?!

Taking a slight detour from the main game, here's a TAS of an Expansion Kit track - Fire Field 2: Link to video

Here's Devil's Forest 2: Link to video This will be the last Queen Cup TAS I'll be making for quite a while because the optimisation process is starting to wear me down. I'll still be making an FZX TAS every now and again but they will be entertainment-focused TASes of other tracks and won't be anywhere near as thoroughly optimised (though it won't look it to the untrained eye if I do it right).

Here's another Expansion Kit TAS that I've made: Link to video Unlike in Mute City 1 and Port Town 1 from my Jack Cup TAS where I face backwards for certain DTDs to save time, facing backwards in this TAS is done purely for entertainment/demonstrative reasons and I actually lose quite a lot of time in doing so. ...that being said, this TAS is 2.047 seconds faster than JKT's TAS from 2012 where he tries to go for the best possible time using what was known at the time while facing forwards. The time difference would be even greater if I had went for the AGG strat in both laps 2 and 3, but then again the same could be said if I had used the Blood Hawk (or an AAE 780kg Custom Machine) instead of the Red Gazelle, if I optimised this run a lot better and/or if I had actually faced forwards.

In the past year I have made a full set of tutorials for F-Zero X. This includes specific tutorials for every track as well as a dedicated driving mechanics and moves tutorial. Every tutorial uses 2 to 4 different strategies for every track. The demos for this are TAS for a clean and optimal execution of the strategy. Jagg2zero has provided all the demos for the Tracks Space Plant, Sand Ocean 2, Port Town 2 and Big Hand. I did the demos for the rest of the tracks. Full playlist of F-Zero X tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDcn_lBlLt0yx3vEEehi_aSbGLNBXDfYL Many of the fastest strategies shown are currently also the fastest TAS demos of those tracks. The full compilation of fastest demos for every track can be viewed in the following video: Link to video I have made the Bizhawk movie files public via the F-Zero Central google drive here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VM9dzMrVm2Q8GJX4HLO-nCQCYMobmUAL Compilation video for Novice level strategies TAS: https://youtu.be/eWORn34jop4 Compilation video for Standard level strategies TAS: https://youtu.be/nAAVoNz3kXI Compilation video for Expert level strategies TAS: https://youtu.be/DUt3_enCtPY Driving Mechanics and Moves Tutorial: Link to video

Holy schnozberries, WMJ. Amazing contribution here. It would be awesome if you would link this info with some high level info in a TASVideos game resources page for F-Zero.

Thanks. Yeah, I think the right place for this info is on a game resources page. I do not have any videos officialy published through tasvideos so I don't think I can edit it myself but maybe jagg2zero can since he has the Jack Cup TAS published. I did write the full driving mechanics and moves tutorial supplementary to the video here: https://www.speedrun.com/fzx/guide/0ugeo Also in the playlist with tutorials for each track I explain literally all I know about the game (and it's quite a few hours of video): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDcn_lBlLt0yx3vEEehi_aSbGLNBXDfYL Combined with all the bk2 movie files that should be the perfect start for anyone interested in TASing the game some more or learning more about it.
