Here is WIP #5 for S3&K Maximum Rings as Knuckles. Nothing special to most people, but I thought it was pretty good. [/center]

S3&KGlitches found a new zip in Lava Reef Zone as Knuckles. Here is my run (it can be optimized)

I hope it will works with Sonic aswell. I discoverd few years ago and showed it to Sonikkustar. It's possible to entering the stairs without the Bubble item. I was truly amazed that it worked RTS. The crushe zip is very easy to do with Hyper Sonic. Just jump and use Hyper Launch Up before Sonic is getting crushed. I still wondering how this works. How can Sonic getting threw Knuckles walls in Lava Reef Zone Act 1. And it doesn't works in other stages in the game. Without manipulations. I have discoverd alot but I leave it to my friend: S3Kglitches. //Regards Mr_Sweed aka DMTM

I highly doubt that it'll work. Even if it does, it won't matter. Since the first falling spikes in Sonic's path is nowhere near the start. Which means that if we didn't do the glitch, it would be FASTER than pulling off the trick.

I checked it, the level wrap works with Sonic. I'm also fairly certain, that the current time of 1:03 with Sonic+Tails can be improved. Sonic can get into Knuckles' path by spindashing through the left sprite wall at the end of the elevator section.

Do not worry, you certainly will see the improvement in marzojr&Aglar’s next TAS :)

I can't wait! marzojr&aglar are two of my main inspirations for playing this game and trying to break it, seeing the stuff those 2 and the real time runners like mike89 and werster can do started an obsession!

I was pondering a speed run with the objective "Unlock Blue Knuckles, use level select only to get to Angel Island Act 1 (if it is a required step to used Blue Knuckles), and beat the game any%." Has anyone gotten this Blue Knuckles glitch to work on a console: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1atT6qrRLY I tried Genesis and Mega Collection with no luck (I got to the point in the Megaglitch where the game restarts, but nothing is laggy, music is normal, and no Blue Knuckles).

I thought the recent TAS run skipped Act 1 and went straight into Act 2 using Act 1's boss. Does this mean that all of Ice Cap is being skipped?
When TAS does Quake 1, SDA will declare war. The Prince doth arrive he doth please.

Nice work. It would save some real time, but not any in-game time unless one could come up with a faster method to set it up. Could be worth looking further into.

Hello. Another route. Maybe it's faster or maybe it's slower. I I used the previously run by MarzoJr to add in this. Enjoy this wip & demo! YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuuSwjYQ1C8 //Regards DMTM aka Mr_Sweed

Memory corruption related glitches are usually so random that it may be nearly impossible to repeat it as it’s shown there, even in a TAS. Only if you understand the things inside, you may be able to pull it off, but it will not be trivial (for example, you may need to force certain byte to contain certain value and so on)

Glitches that involve reading very odd parts of memory, crashing, illegal operations, resetting and so on may operate differently on emulator and console if there is a bug in the emulator. You could try seeing what version(s) of emulator(s) the Megaglitch works on.

Looks like I was expecting. In order for us to use it in the run, 20 seconds need to be saved from this which is rather doubtful. Though, the big thing about this is that it can be done at all.

I've been playing with flying into Icecap 2 with Sonic and Tails above the boss room. It often fails to load various objects, and sometimes those springy platforms will be doubled. You can actually be hit by an enemy and not lose your rings in highly crowded areas. Haven't managed to trigger the loading zone bug yet, but there is a chance that it might be possible.

Yes. Emulator freezes so idk if it works on a Genesis but this is my method which uses debug: http://www.twitch.tv/ludendi/b/329209527 (look at 1:47)

Yes, that's because it's recorded footage from the 2012 ESA bonus stream where I showed it off. Go 1 hour and 47 minutes into the clip like I wrote. I could record it better but that's the only video I got right off the bat.
