Sorry about that marzor. Mor accurate inputs is in the tails any% run. I was at the sorta of work. Therefore i couldn't re-upload or re-encode the gmv file. Can I see that gmv of yours? //Regards DMTM

For my surprise improve the first part of HCZ1 of Knuckles any% in the first 25 re-records for 5 frames in my 100% run, I'm going to see if it can be improved more. Good job, Evil_3D; I am also surprised. Would you like to join my WIP? I’d be glad, because I started it with Qwerty and feeuzz, but both of them had quit the works. The run also has 2 short parts done by marzojr, in AIZ2 (tunnel trick) and HCZ2 (camera management right before the level-wrap).

Sonic hud scrips dosen't work for me. Gives me only errors. =/

S+T any% IceCap in 0:53::58. Managed to regain all frames to the level wrap and still get the correct height for the boss skip; however, the different camera position ended up causing a 3-frame loss to activate the level transition, which is still done on the first possible frame. Tails any% IceCap in 0:42::22. Tails was already at the correct height for the boss skip, so this was a simple matter of getting to the level change trigger in time.

I have a question, is possible to do a run up a slope and enter inside the terrain here? Is the slope next to a big ramp. In Marzojr's 100% run he bouncing inside with the bubble shield but Knuckles don't have the bouncing effect, any ideas? I do not found the correct position yet

Yes, I think it should be possible, just align yourself as needed. It may be not easy, though. By the way, there is another possible way to enter the terrain, which I never saw in existing runs, but performed myself a few times. Like in the loops, you can also enter the terrain by turning rolling at proper point in places like this: Hopefully you’ll find it useful. Also, if the speed is high enough (over 5000 for example), it becomes possible to enter the terrain instantly, without any rolling or something. You can see an example in this old testrun. And one more way to enter terrain possible for Knuckles is stair clip, however, Knuckles requires certain pattern of terrain to be able to use it, an example can be seen here at ~4:30

Knuckles any% IceCap in 0:39::53. This was a 0:40::01, but I couldn't stand it; the path to the level wrap is probably not optimal, but it is good enough for now. Also, S+T newgame+ IceCap in 0:49::46, a 43-frame improvement coming from better level wrap and camera control. And just because I had to say it wouldn't go much lower. Requires the newgame+ run savestate.

I try but i don't align my position very well, or I think is for the tunel back the slope, He does not let me align with the floor. Someone could give me some tips? I’ve tried it and now I don’t think it’s possible, sorry. What you did instead is also fine (but glide-glitching through a bridge could be faster I think). In the end of HCZ2 you should zip 1 level upper to be able to reach the boss, fortunately, it is possible there.

It's increible what a troll this zone is I know now why is skiped with a level wrap (joke) I can't glide glitch trough the bridge Idk why, I tested all jump heights but nothing.

Marble Garden zone is even worse in terms of deadly hard tricks and places where something looks possible, but you just cannot perform it. At least when you play as Amy :(

I finished HCZ2, very stressful in my opinion, I'm not very happy with the last part, I lost many seconds waiting to synchronize with the object I think it could be better gmv file The good news are: I now have Super Knuckles at the begining of MGZ

Such objects usually can be manipulated by wasting some non in-game time between the acts, you can see good examples in my published Amy@S3K TAS (Flying Battery, Sandopolis and Lava Reef were pure pain to manage). After finishing act 1, waste the needed interval to delay the “level clear” screen trigger. The problem is that you’ll probably need to redo the second act, so you need to estimate the amount of frames to be wasted pretty much correctly. Prepare for the worst, friend — the mentioned zones are a lot worse than Hydrocity in terms of number of moving objects that will block your way. Good that some of them, like Sandopolis 1, can be skipped by using a level-wrap, unlike with Amy. Or you are going to make your run underflowless? By the way, you missed one small shortcut, instead of zipping left after stair clip (HCZ2), you could drop down directly, however, it is not enough to save an extra in-game seconds, but well, at least it makes the entire run shorter. An example. (upd) damn, I also forgot a thing — gliding at the last dropping down. Saves some more frames, and now it’s only 8-9 frames to a better time. I will try to do it. Knuckles 100% "No Horizontal underflow" MGZ 1 in 0:29::53 I need to redo this zone 4 times because for some reason the emulator crash when I start climbing next to the mud in "x" frame so I start climbing 1 frame before, I don't know why happen.

Knuckles Any% Hydrocity 1 in 0:31::45 Old time: 0:31::59 ~ Improved 14 frames, 12 in the level, 2 in Boss battle. I think i will have to redo it too in my 100% run

That’s a known issue with the camera hack. As far as I know, marzojr tried to fix it, but his ideas about the source of the issue were wrong. As the original creators of the camera hack (nitsuja and upthorn) left, there is nobody who knows exactly how it works, so we use it with this issue. The good side is: in fact, it just freezes for some time, it does not really crash. It emulates some frames way longer than supposed, but still with success. You can wait a little, for me it usually takes about 5-10 seconds to process such a frame.

That might be useful for Tails; Hyper Sonic bypasses that room entirely, Sonic+Tails go through it faster than the video by about one second (and they would need to wait for the missile to be fired, which would widen the gap), but it is worth checking to see if the missile can't be set up faster. For Tails, it is definitely worth checking; if it takes more than 3 seconds to set it up the trick will likely loses time. Interesting trick nevertheless.
