ePSXe works without any problems. It's this piece of crap emulator that won't work. Won't run any games for me. And if it does, it'll crash during the loading. So it's useless to me in it's current state.
I find that rather unusual, but I guess there's nothing about it you can do if things just aren't working for you. It's a pity. What game were you wanting to tas with it anyway?

I wasn't planning to TAS anything. But even the TAS setup that mz suggested wouldn't even work. It crashed as soon as I loaded the game. But the game was Crusaders of Might and Magic, one of my all time favorite PSX games. Probably a good game for a TAS due to how short it is. I tried every GPU Plugin I could think of that would work well, and they all crapped out and the emulator crashed. The problem with trying to play the game on ePSXe, is that it for some reason lags quite a lot.

And yes, the same plugins.

So yeah, the only idea left is: that game is not compatible with this emulator.

If the game wasn't compatible, I don't see why it would let me start the game then. The only logical explaination, is that the Emulator for some unseen reason, just refuses to work for me. But I guess I'll try a different game.

Well, I could ask the same question when I tried Gunners Heaven on epsxe.

I just tried Castlevania: SoTN, and the controller is completely unresponsive, so you can't say I didn't give the emulator a chance now. It's just not worth all of this frustration to get the damn thing to work right.

Hah, SotN runs PERFECTLY on PCSX. Change your input plugin. Also, don't forget to ALWAYS restart the emulator after you change ANY setting. Otherwise it will crash. You'd better run the emulator, change what you need then close it and re-run to test.

No thanks. I am done with this emulator. I only got it so I could hopefully play Crusaders of Might and Magic without all of the lag. But since the emulator won't run it, I have no need for it. Besides. ePSXe at least RUNS the game fairly well, and the only plugin I need to change every now and then, is the Graphics Plugin when it comes to certain games.

And there goes another guy who didn't know the analog PS controller wasn't invented yet when CSOTN was first released. Well, what can I say... I guess I'm glad PCSX doesn't work for some people.

Actually, I did know that. I just love how most idiots just assume that everyone on the Internet is Male. I am a Female of the species, genius. My controller anyway, just doesn't seem to be responding on PCSX at all anymore, aside from certain games. Guess I'll have to download a few more controller plugins..

Yeah, also I guess people use this emulator seeking re-recording functionality, anyway. And I didn't know that some idiots on the internet don't know that "guy" can be used for both genders And I don't know what you changed on this latest version... but it doesn't crash when I use PEC on it (although this is no longer necessary, unless I need a memory dump) You did well, now return to the pokeball, mz... (; ・_・)―――――――――C<―_-) EDIT: NOBODY means to offend any of you GUYS. It's just a joke.

Yes, well. I've never been called "guy" before. This emulator does emulate Digimon World better than ePSXe. For some strange reason, the text messes up on ePSXe, and not on this one, and I'm using the exact same video Plugin. So this emulator isn't completely useless. I do hope it'll be able to play my favorite PSX game sooner or later though.

Really? I call tons of women "man" at work in a casual greeting style.

Did you try pSX? It's the best psx emulator available, but if you've got an old cpu, you're going to get shitty results, as how the emulator performs is solely based on your cpu.

I actually tried downloading that emulator. But for some reason, the files are always corrupt and won't unzip. However, now PCSX appears to be running Crusaders of Might and Magic. Maybe that crash was just a one time deal for it. And it IS running the game better than ePSXe for the most part, still a lot of lag, just not as bad. Well, I just downloaded pSX again, and strangely enough, it let me unzip the files this time. My computer is fairly good, my Brother built it solely for gaming, since I am a big gamer. Edit: Now I remember why I got rid of the pSX one though. Any time I load CoM&M, I get a...Illegal Opcode error. Gotta find a way around that.

Well, a "good computer" is a matter of perspective. What's the computer specs? Start -> Run "dxdiag" and give us the important stuff, like processor speed and RAM.

Perhaps the problem at hand is that your image is bad, not the emulator. epsxe might run it by simply ignoring the errors. psx and perhaps pcsx might come up to the error and just crash due to it. Who knows.

1.8ghz Processor and 1024MB of RAM. And I suppose it could be the Image. I DO have the actual CD, so I suppose I should try that.

Bug report on the graphics plugin: PEOPS Soft Driver 1.18 Checking the Disable screensaver function doesn't seem to disable it on Windows XP SP2. I've even had the screensaver come up when I'm actually playing and not just watching a movie.

Were you playing with a joy(stick/pad)? Windows often doesn't care about incoming joy events when deciding whether to put the screensaver up. There is a way to fix this, but I forget it.

Yeah, I don't use a keyboard unless I'm using it for frame advance or whatnot. But I play games using a PSX controller plugged in via USB.

I get a strange issue with 0.0.5. At the first boss in FF7 it makes me fight it twice. And then crashes after the second battle.

I just want to pop in here and note that v.5 also doesn't work under VirtualBox. Carry on.
