FractalFusion's Chessmaster in 0:07.12 (428 frames). This is my 8th version.
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Manipulates luck (not heavily)
  • Makes the AI look horrible
The key to the run was in the little-known address 0x623, also known as a timer. I had to carefully manipulate so that the delay between actions was as short as possible. Note that even after performing some action as fast as possible, I have to move the cursor to luck-manipulate.
For a while, I was stuck on a time of 489 frames. It was only after I reduced the delay to almost nothing that I managed to get the dumb AI to make its last move soon enough. One good second saved.

Nach: While this is quick, and this is possible, I don't see the interest of this extending beyond the actual move list. Publishing a key press file or an AVI of this is redundant.
The moves: e2-e4 e7-e5 d1-h5 e8-e7 h5xe5++

Not that these would necessarily make publish-worthy submissions, but I started thinking of alternative goals for such a game (even if it's at the easiest difficulty levels) which might make it funnier to watch, and ought to be a lot more challenging for a TASer to do: - Least amount of moves to first capture all the opponent's pieces (leaving the opponent's king only) and then checkmating. - Sacrifice the maximum amount possible of your own pieces in the least amount of moves, after which you still manage to checkmate the opponent. - A combination of both: First sacrifice the maximum amount possible of your own pieces and then capture all of the opponent's pieces and then checkmate. - A variation of the previous: Minimum amount of moves to leave the opponent without any pieces (other than the king) and yourself with the absolute minimum amount of pieces for a checkmate, and then do so. (The difference is that the order in which the pieces of either side are captured doesn't matter.) - Win by moving pawns only. If it's impossible to do this without promotion, then promotion is allowed (after which only the promoted pieces and the remaining pawns can be moved), but the amount of promotions should be kept minimal (hence optimallly one promotion, and preferably to the least valuable piece possible). - Win by moving your knights only, if possible.

Hah. Sandles? The shoes? Thanks, but I'm currently far away and not interested in drinking shoes. Maybe some other time.

That image makes me wonder. Why didn't you play at hardest difficulty? Or did you, and I just cannot tell because you did it in Frame Precision?

At hardest difficulty, the CPU takes too much time before even making a move.

Grassini you on drugs or something? Anyways if it was up to me, I'd have this rejected for being suboptimal.

grassini, before asking for runs to be unrejected for Vault consideration, please read the Vault rules to see if it's eligible. In this case, it isn't, as the Vault does not accept board games. Also for the other gruefood runs you recently bumped with similar demands, be sure to read the submission threads to see why it may be rejected or cancelled. (We don't revive cancelled runs, those are up to the author to uncancel).

I tried all other options just now. As White, AI's first move is always c4 or e4. As Black, AI's first response to e3 or e4 is always .. e5. In other words, I see no reason to believe that the two other scenarios you listed are possible. Also, AI's response to 1. e3 e5 2. Qh5 is always d5.

Reads grassini's and Samsara's post. Urban Dictionary what does Kappa mean, besides a Greek Letter? "The main symbol/emote of Twitch.tv. It represents sarcasm, irony, puns, jokes and trolls alike." Thanks Urban Dictionary! On a serious note. Shut up grassini. Towards FractalFusion's Post: Alright understood. Thought something like Monopoly or Solitaire could be pulled off with the RNG.

why don't you guys get banned for violent behavior? 2 importante to be banned? btw, most of these so called"cancelled" gruefood was obviously cancelled after waves of the comments we used to have here, like"it's too boring, dont' publish it" or "it's not mario metroid, don't publish it", it was only done in a "vaultless" context. Also,i was talkin to the author FractalFusion, not to samshit or spikebitch, which didn't answer if he would submit.Just barge in,assholes.

And most of the submissions that you have bumped by now clearly have in the thread that it's improvable, and mostly said by the SAME AUTHOR. And some are just out of the rules of the Vault tier.

Guga, you were already here when the vault got first implemented, right? the rules are subject to change, just like they did before, there were a lot of complaints back then too.(some popular RPGs getting accepted, others not so much) Obviously,it will be alright not to change the status of any of the movies i commented, but if nobody voices anything about it,it will remain the same for a lot "record worthy" content. All the movies are clear technical achievements which won't be found on the main page and that's thanks to people who don't speak up.

Spikebitch. Really? Is that the best you can think of? The amount of Spike users are high so you pretty much offended a lot of Spikes. Heck there might even be a user named Spikebitch and you're summoning them to a place they never heard of. Earlier from what you wrote. You decided to bring back and stated that the users weren't agreeing to the TAS being made. Well one of the ones you brought back had lovely feedback and you said "vault plz" (or whatever), EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE AUTHOR'S INTENTION TO CANCEL IT. Also "violent"? How in the bloody world are the words used by me mind you the words "shut up" violent? Dude you need to think before you bitch about another user.
