Mood Avatars

When following this guide, it is recommended you have the following:

• At least 350 forum posts
• A Dropbox account, or other hosting account with a static filepath

When a user has a minimum of 350 posts, they are capable of using variable mood avatars, when a user has variable mood avatars enabled, they will be able to specify what sort of avatar they want, as pictured by the controls below.

To gain access to these controls, you need to set the file location of your variable mood avatar inside your profile. If your profile does not resemble the one below, you do not have access to variable mood avatars at this given time TODO: Get an example without Flygon's avatar making it look all gay.

If you do have access to this section of your forum profile editor, you're in luck. The Link to off-site Avatar location is a fallback for if your variable mood avatars ever get disabled, for example, if via abuse. The Mood-variant avatar URL part is the one that determines how to load your variable mood avatars. With your file hosting account (such as a web hosting service or Dropbox), create a folder specifically intended for your mood avatars, this is where your avatars will be placed. They will need to follow a specific naming scheme, such as flurret_1.png, flurret_2.png, and ecetera (the extension must always be the same, even if the actual type is different, this is for compatibility purposes). The URL section will need to be filled in with the filepath and filename of the file location, where $ is the number that you've been putting into your avatars filenames. If you're using a personal hosting solution, the URL would look something along the lines of http://www.example.com/avatars/flurret_$.png, if you took the Dropbox route, it'd look more like http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2651992/TASVideos/Avatars/flurret_$.png. If this is set correctly, you'll have working variable mood avatar controls at the bottom of the page, provided the image exists.
