the game is about (i think :P) the kings sends for four heros to stop evil.
the first four levels can be played i opitonal order, i from top to bottom. takes only damage in samsons and the mouse level.
samson dragon stoneman mouse
boss: the dragon this is the only boss in the game that you cant use autofire on.
after that you can change character betwin the four, pretty much like in mega man
level 1: plays mostly whit the mouse but a bit whit the dragon. uses samson on the boss
level 2-1: starts whit the mouse but plays mostly whit the dragon
level 2-2: mouse/dragon switching the dragon takes care of the boss
level 3-1: uses samson/mouse/dragon
level 3-2: uses the mouse since he can run on water :D samson kill the boss
level 4: plays mostly whit the dragon but a bit whit mouse. samson on the boss
level 5-1 mouse/dragon switching
level 5-2 mouse/dragon switching i make a fast character change make the dragon fly longer. plays whit samson for a moment and dragon on boss
level 6 plays whit the mouse and dragon in the end the same characters is used on the boss and i had to make a fast character change to not die after det boss (the olny way to kill it at the first attack).
level 7 switching betwin samson/mouse/dragon dragon on the boss
level 8 mouse/dragon switching dragon/samson on the boss
level 9 switching betwin mouse/dragon refight whit bosses from level 5 and 1
level 10 mostly the mouse refight whit bosses from level 7 and 6
level 11 only mouse samson/dragon on the final boss
level 12 samson/mouse/dragon switching this is just an escape level

adelikat: Rejecting. This run needs a lot more optimization. Look at the tips I gave you in the discussion and watch Guybrush's WIP.
Also, check out the old submissions & the forums for previous attempts. Here is a previous submission that is 3 minutes faster than yours. It failed to be as optimized as the WIP posted in the little samson topic at the forums: Forum/Topics/1385
Good luck on your improvements.

"whit" isn't the word you were looking for. I'm actually surprised that it's even a word. I'll watch this when I wake up and edit appropriately.

Umm... I think you didn't use frame advance in this run because it's really really sloppy. Here's my WIP which I think I'll be finishing at some point. It completes the first level and is 415 frames (6.93 seconds) faster than your run. I'm sorry but I'll have to vote no.

Yes, watch Guybrush's WIP carefully, there are many common TAS trick that could help you improve your runs. Some things I noticed: 1) definately a cool, publish-worthy game. Good choice here. I wonder why we don't have a TAS of this yet? 2) If you don't use frame advance you should be at least slowing the game down to 3% in order to get perfect accuracy when jumping / wall climbing, etc. 3) the wall climbing looks slow you should jump on and off at the earliest possible frames. 4) you should jump down from ledges instead of falling. This is a common TAS trick. by jumping you increase your acceleration and therefore get to the bottom faster 5) the tornadoes in the 2nd level seem to move you faster than regular flying. You should try to be one them for as long as possible. 6) in the mouse level you walk on the ceiling longer than necessary. you walk faster than you can wall climb so you shouldn't be on the ceiling any longer than necessary. If you want some help on using various TAS tools, PM me and will glad to help :)

This game is also known as Serei Densetsu Lickle and has a couple very good movies, although they haven't been submitted by the original authors. To be published, you'll have to improve on them, since it isn't acceptable to publish a known-impovable movie. This one is the better of the two if I remember correctly. I don't think it will be easy to beat. There's some discussion of it here and a search will show you two old submissions of this game.

The game has a habit of randomly skipping some stages. I have no idea why but anyway it's a real turnoff for any TASer.

What stages? The intro stages or stages after that?

Not the intro stages, they are always played. The stages in the beginning after the intro stages however sometimes don't all get played.

It's a warp. If you beat the first boss (green monster) using only the mouse, the game warps you ahead a fixed amount of levels. A movie using this should be labeled using warps. That's the only one I know of at least. Are there other (random?) warps as well?

Ah, didn't know that. That explains a lot.

I'll start a serious unwarped run soon (or when I have time). EDIT: It seems that I cannot skip the warps so...

LOL, a new age of speedrunning: "Sadly, I can't do it slow…" "It seems that I can't avoid skipping most of the levels…" "Somehow all the paths except the shortest one became blocked…" "I was playing at 50% speed, but then I realised it actually was a frame-perfect run…"
