Goals:
  • Completes the first set of Rounds (Rounds 1, 2 and 3)
  • Completed in the fastest time possible
  • Manipulates luck
  • Uses glitches
Well, when I first arrived here I had suggested to Adelikat of an Urban Champion TAS, and he said something along the lines of going for it, if I like rejected movies.
If this game ever gets published, I'd imagine it will be this movie. Beating the opponent in five punches through the use of some glitches, this movie is under 30 seconds. This is my first TAS with intent of publication, but I'm quite certain this can't be done faster unless there's another glitch or something I missed.
An infamously horrible game made fairly entertaining if I do say so myself.

Truncated: Good job on proving adelikat wrong. This is a nice movie, I am accepting it.

Any further questions concerning the roundness of the Earth?

That was a simple pile of fffffffffffffff, in a good way. Yes voted. Archive.org Recommended screenshot Video is encoded at 80, audio at -1.4. I've gone as low as possible while keeping quality using standard methods, I'm leaving this to a more advanced encoder. I've tried other methods, but they just don't look good to me. The video is 470 kilobytes and the audio is 150 kilobytes, I'd make the audio smaller but my alternate source is unfortunately desynchronized from my encode. REMOVED DAILYMOTION LINK, WATCH AKTAN'S AWESOME ENCODE INSTEAD, SERIOUSLY, THAT MAN IS A GOD OF LOSSLESS. Or the YouTube link in the first post. =P

So...care to explain what just happened and why it works? That was pretty messed-up. Yes vote.

I don't know what happened in this TAS, but it was fast. Nice use of glitches, I'll throw in another yes vote.

So, does the game just loop the level after this, or is there a way to get to the credits?

I much prefer Aktanusa's encode myself, sure, it's 300kb bigger, but at least it is lossless under 1 megabyte. Hell, it's small enough to be used instead of a torrent, if not quicker to use.

Yeah, having no knowledge of the game myself, could you explain exactly what occurs to make this beaten so quickly and why this should be impressive? I don't really see anything going on except you going off the left side of the screen and onto the right. It's just unclear from a viewing perspective exactly what I am watching.

I'm pretty sure its a buffer underflow. Basically, he literally moved from the horizontal pixel 0 to 255 in the RAM.

The main glitch is a sidestepping glitch. When he is about 2 characters' of space away, move towards him and you can take two steps back. Repeating this, you can go further back than normal since you aren't restricted. The second glitch is the way the game handles wins/losses. Since the computer is in the section where my character is supposed to lose, I can still beat him. The additional benefit though is that since my character is on the far right of the screen (normally impossible), I start almost half the distance from him in Round 2 than normal, since I'm moved to the right and skipping the regular starting point.

I used to spend hours on this game as a kid. Loved it. Nice TAS you made t3h Icy. Also thanks for the youtube link. Very convenient. YES-vote. Cheers

Even considering its' shortness, there's just not enough going on here to be entertaining. Meh vote.

I think that 30 seconds is quite an appropriate length for this game. Amusing WTF ending as well. I'll chip in a Yes vote. By the way, Mr. Omicron, your avatar image is way too large and is distorting the forum view. Just FYI.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.
