some glitchs lose a few frames, but i bilieve it's worth. those glitchs let the speed-run full of fun. such as "shadow rockman(magne hyaskulegger stage) , strike chain through the wall(sonic ostreague stage) , boss comes until you get rid of right or left(re-sonic ostreague)"those tricks just for fun. althrough they are slower than FractalFusion's run,i love.
other was useful tricks,"underneath grabbing of overhang conrners , strike chain catch the wall still can keep the fall speed fast(flame,gator,bubble...etc stage) , when boss died that you should stand on the highest(intro, gator, sonic, sigma castle 1,sigma castle 2,sigma castle 3)".
the other tricks i am not sure which one is fast,"go down with jumping jumping jumping at the third ladder in metamor mothmenos stage".
stage notice:
  • in bubble crab stage should avoid lag in the sea(x collet buster is one of the reasons and screen moveing when falling).
  • in magne hyaskulegger stage.you dash when the tiles drop in,don't make the dust.it will easy lag.
  • in serges stage.bubble can let your up speed more faster, but it will easy cause lag.and many area you can't use strike chain and speed burner
  • in vs zero stage.i even made a mistake that use the 昇龍拳 to close zero before FractalFusion has remind me.luckily i found used the 昇龍拳 at the very end that sigma still come fast(but still lose a few frames),it's worth that you can beat zero more faster.

There should be a submission text...

I don't care how much shorter the Japanese text is, because this run is awesome! There were a few spots I was wondering about, but it's definitely better than the published one. The underneath grabbing of overhang corners and the Serges battle is something new and pleased me. However, the one thing that disappointed me was the final minute of play. I'm sure it can be done faster: - It is slower to use shoryuken (昇龍拳) to get closer to Zero, because Sigma doesn't come until you land. - It is better to land X on the left side after hitting Sigma with the 昇龍拳, so that X doesn't have to walk there. - The rules require final dialogs (text) to be cleared so the game goes to the ending automatically. Apart from these issues, my yes vote is pending. Is your username "parrot14gree" or "parrot14green"? Your submission text at least should say something like this:
- Aims for fastest time - Takes damage to save time - Abuses programming errors in the game - Manipulates luck I used Snes9x improvement v9. FractalFusion's run beaten in 39 seconds. Enjoy the movie!

I will vote yes. It was an incredible run with a few mistakes. The most annoying mistake you did was when you several times did not kickjump left and right and you could have possibly used more Strike Chain and Speed Burner.

I went and did frame counts. Syntax: Level name: Time change (in frames) in levels, time change in boss fights. Positive numbers benefit fractalfusion, negative numbers benefit parrot14green
Reploid Factory: -51, -62
Wire Sponge: -81, +3
Wheel gator: -136, 0
Flame Stag: -43, -4
Bubble Crab: -41, -1
Magna Centipede: -5, +17
Crystal Snail: -107, -1
Overdrive Ostrich: -94, -1
Morph Moth: -99, +2

Sub-Total: -704 (11.733 seconds)

Sigma 1 (Violen): -26, -13
Sigma 2 (Serges): -40, -100 (?)
Sigma 3 (Shouryuken, Agile): -100, (Skipped)
Sigma 4 (Rematches, all at once): +13
Sigma 5 (Level): +50
   Zero rematch: -32
      Neo Sigma: +44
Wireframe Sigma: +1 (?)

Sub-Total: -173 (2.883 seconds)

Total: -877 (14.616 seconds)
Disclaimer and notes: I am not infallible, I may have made some mistakes but overall I think they're correct to within 1 frame. Numbers marked with (?) may be subject to a higher degree of error. I skipped measuring Agile getting punched due to difficulty measuring the start point, and I should hope the equal. Some non-playable but time-affecting numbers (such as Flame Stag's supposed death delay if he's in the air when he dies, post-death lag, stage select speed, etc) are not noted. This post is intended to try to separate superior playing from a ROM change.

A great first submission by you, parrot14green. Give me a grappling hook, and I'm in love with it. I don't know why, it's just the way it is. When you put a submission text in, be sure to not make it very long or informative in any way, or people will bitch about that, too. BUBBLY CRABLOS!! Edit: Upon completion, I noticed the movie does not press enough buttons to advance to the ending. This should be fixed.

I had a mismathed rom, but it didn't desynch until after you beat sigma, it didn't trigger the last dialogue. . . bizarre. Anyway, awesome run, definately a yes vote. I only had 1 thought about improvement. In sigma1, on the last of the areas where that one dude closes the walls on you, would it be faster to let him do that so you have less distance to cover to the right? I mean you'd be moving to the right as you were climbing, even a little bit. Other than that, way to go!
Do not try to bend the spoon, that's impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth. What Truth? There is nospoon. Then you will see it is not the spoon that changes, it is only yourself

parrot14gree: If you make a substantial improvement, cancel this movie and submit a new one. If it is just a small fix, you can contact Bisqwit and he will replace the movie file. If you plan on redoing this game, I really recommend using Mega Man X2 (US version). It makes comparison SO much easier, without someone wasting their time on counting frames. It is also highly suggested in the Rules. Disclaimer: I haven't seen it yet, but if FractalFusion is impressed, it has to be good!

Whoa, this is a great run for a first submission! Very well done... though I didn't quite get why the re-Gator wasn't disposed immediately with the shouryuken. Great job anyway!

I think it should be added that its a 100% item run, though as mentioned before getting the shouryuken is in its own right a mega time saver.

It wasn't clear the first time. The game must reach the credits without the viewer needing to press anything. So the final texts must be cleared. Submit it to Bisqwit when the end is fixed. Otherwise, good job near the end.

Also, please use GoodSnes to check which rom you are using. "megamanx2.smc" is not enough... hmm... it is "Rockman X 2 (J) [o1].smc" You could edit your submission text. And it's really cool! It will certainly obsolete the current run. Congratulations.

It's not possible because otherwise Gator goes down too soon. I'm surprised that parrot14green pulled off the Strike Chain hit without the "Window of opportunity" trick (change weapons just before dropping in).

It's ROCKMAN X 2!

Hm, the published run is over 4 minutes faster.
