TASVideos usually doesn't permit the use of a cheat code, except in special circumstances which are usually discussed beforehand.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

I'm not sure what to make of this submission. It's slower than the any% and All Stages runs and uses a cheat code. I don't know what to vote.

Well, at least he tried. The rerecord count is 9138, so unless it was faked, he put some effort into this TAS. Hopefully, we will see better optimized submissions from him in the future.

Seriously, why did you rescued Zero? Just for good ending? As for the run itself, horrible movement, horrible luck manipulation, horrible boss fights, and you also didn't used all the tricks whenever it would be usefull to use them. Im voting no. And next time you work on a TAS, post in the forums. Hope this doesn't stop you for making future TASes.

welcome to tasvideos :) we are trying to play through games as quickly as we can, with the technical help from emulators. but this doesnt mean cheating, because we dont need it!

This run appears to be a "X-only 8-boss Ultimate Armor-only run". Unfortunately, there's been no justification so far of this goal, as the author's description, as well as the TAS quality, seem to indicate that the author doesn't know how this game works. It is possible that he is emulating input from the published run, like in the Mega Man X2 and X3 cases which happen not to be much worse, but exhibit a lack of insight.

Voting No due to unnecessary use of a cheat code.

Sage advice from a friend of Jim: So put your tinfoil hat back in the closet, open your eyes to the truth, and realize that the government is in fact causing austismal cancer with it's 9/11 fluoride vaccinations of your water supply.

This old run is one of my very first runs I had done, it is so terrible and uses cheats. In that time, 2011, I was only a 14 year old boy that plays for enjoyment only and don't care about the rules of runs that must be submitted on the site as well as having a very destroyed english that he cannot even write good sentences to explain something or post in forums or even understand most of the text since english was his 3rd language at this time and he don't care about it. TASing was something super wonderful for me and it still so far. Thanks to everyone who supporting me and still all the time. In 2011 I couldn't explain that like I'm doing now but that what I would say 5 years ago. This is just a small thing about me, not related to the run.
I still learn more about English. https://www.youtube.com/user/McBobX100

I would like to see a 100% run featuring the Ultimate Armor, though, even if it does require a button code. The Nova Strike was put to interesting use in MMX5's 100% run. It should be different enough from the non-code-using 100% run to at least warrant a vault entry.

It would be good but if the only character used is X instead of Zero even if it is going to rescue Zero in a revisit. But I'm not sure if it is going to be accepted since it uses cheat code to get Ultimate X.

I'd still like to see it, even if it wouldn't get accepted here. The Ultimare Armor provides a different enough game experience, I think, to where it can be considered for a Vault inclusion purely for entertainment. It uses a cheat code within the game, that's the important distinction here. We've numerous runs of games here using emulator-specific trickery or of ROM hacks that don't work on real consoles. Why are they here? Entertainment. It's different than allowing the Konami code, or something, as again, the Ultimate Armor provides you entirely different (and often earlier) methods of obtaining power-ups and what-not.
