Hey guys! Bizhawk 1.0.2 worked great for me but 1.1.0 and 1.1.0a won't even start! I've installed the prereqs file and have even tried to run it in windows XP compatibility but that doesn't change anything. I m running Windows 7 64bits, processor is an intel core i5 750, graphics card is ATI Radeon 5850. If you could help me that'd be awesome, I loved bizhawk back in 1.0.2, great work :) Any ideas?

Hi, I can't run any version of Bizhawk later than 1.0.2 on my Windows 7 computer. When I try to run any version after 1.0.2 (I've tried all of them) I get the usual (and uninformative) "Bizhawk has stopped working" Windows error message (here in Swedish, but you probably recognize what I'm talking about) I think something happened between versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 that is the cause of this error message. The only additional error information I got from this message was (I translated it from Swedish):
 Problem event name:	CLR20r3
  Probleme signature 01:	bizhawk.multiclient.exe
  Probleme signature 02:	1.0.1.3169
  Probleme signature 03:	505f4621
  Probleme signature 04:	BizHawk.MultiClient
  Probleme signature 05:	1.0.1.3169
  Probleme signature 06:	505f4621
  Probleme signature 07:	5ff
  Probleme signature 08:	54
  Probleme signature 09:	System.IO.FileNotFoundException

  Additional information 3:	0a9e
  Additional information 4:	0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789
I hope this is of some help. I have installed all the Bizhawk Prereqs, so the problem isn't there. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is there any additional information I can provide that could be helpful in finding the problem?

I can't seem to be able to make it start either. I tried the link Pasky13 give, doesn't change anything. I always got this message : Message means : The Program is ending now.

That error code is the "Unspecified error" code for the Common language runtime (CLR). What OS? Do you have compatibility mode checked on multiclient.exe? If so turn it off. Are you running as administrator? If not, you should be.

are you able to run the discohawk program that comes with bizhawk? it sounds like your .net installation is completely broken. you may need to try uninstalling it and reinstalling it.

Did you unzip BizHawk before running it? You're getting a File Not Found error, which means it can't find a file that it's looking for. I also found it interesting that the version number in your error is listed as 1.0.1.3169, but I'm not sure if that means anything because I've never used an official release so maybe that's normal.

this is caused 98% of the time by a broken .net installation. uninstall any .net related stuff you can find (starting with .net framework 4.0 related things) and reinstall them.

That was probably .net framework fault but after I installed it the first time it still didn't work. I tried to repair .net and got an unexpected error. Tried to desinstall it and reinstall it. Still got unexpected error and couldn't reinstall it. I used a restauration point on my computer and could reinstall it again, but it still didn't work. Last resort : Format C: Now everything works like a charm. Anyway thanks for your help :)

Should have tried the .Net Framework Removal Tool. It helps when .Net breaks
