anyone tried out any of those hundreds of screen recorders and got acceptable results? i tried several recorders like camtasia and got horrible results :(

I got very good results by pluging the TV out of my video card to my TV recording card. As a bonus, it looks like beign recorded directly on the console... ... which may be a bad thing.

argh dont have a tv card and its a bit complicated as well :-/

I guess I will try to implement AVI recording but not soon. I really don't know how to do it, but I'll check other open source emulators.

I tried Camtasia and recorded a video with a resolution of 256x224, 60 fps and the results were good, it didn't capture all frames but the sound didn't go out of synch.

It's not necessary nowadays since AVI recording is supported in GENS.
