Sliding is really annoying in MM6 because you can't jump straight out of a slide, but I have done my best while holding on to my sanity (the large amount of rerecordings is mostly due to optimization of slides).
Also the Rush Jet Adaptor is a horrible, but unfortunately a necessary tool. You can't slide when using it, which is why I keep the parts where I use the jet short.

The author is currently working on an improved version.

Even though Mega Man 6 is a little boring and clumsy for a Mega Man game, it makes a nice timeattack nevertheless. There are some unusual tricks used in this movie, which are described at the Rockman Tricks page.

This is a joint project between AngerFist, who played the levels, and adelikat, who played the bosses.

In Mega Man 6 Capcom has weeded out almost all of the bugs abused in the previous Mega Man incarnations while introducing new ones which were unfortunately unable to contribute significant time-saving techniques.

Kyrsimys played his run quite well making use of what glitches are available, so there wasn't much to optimize in jumps and tricks, but there was room for improvement in optimizing weapon selection and minimize weapon switches (which are very slow).

In this improvement, Shinryuu manages to save 7.55 seconds compared to his previous version by doing a complete run overhaul, utilizing the discovery of new glitches to hasten Mega Man's movement and firing capabilities, a route change, and heavy subpixel optimization.

This movie has an Atlas Map encode of the Wind Man stage, which shows the standard encode overlaid on a zoomed out map.
