Anyone up for some fishing?
In this TAS of Jaws, the attack level is upgraded to 3, which is the minimum required to kill Jaws in a single encounter. 30,000 points are needed to get the mini-sub which has double attack power. Because of this, a regular encounter is substituted for a Jaws encounter, so that Jaws can be hit for more points.
This movie is a 42.6 sec improvement over the previous one.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge improved by over 30 seconds from greater precision, new shortcuts, and the use of Mode B (which allows the players to hit each other). Like in the previous run, the author controls two characters at once.
This movie shows the true value of teamwork. Despite sibling rivalry, Billy and Jimmy help expedite their common goal with well-timed knees to each other's faces.

Looks like the bare-chested man decided to bring his friend along for the ride this time. Using two players at once, adelikat brings us one step closer to perfecting Contra. This run displays many new time savers, including spread gun manipulation and 2P death skips. More details can be found in the submission text.

Note: This game was released under different names, such as 魂斗羅 (Kontora) in Japan, and Probotector in Europe. GryZor is also used in Europe on some other systems.

Marble Madness is a 3D'ish game similar in its style to Snake Rattle 'n Roll. The objective in these two games is quite different, though. In this game, the player must roll a marble from point A to point B. This is of course not as easy as it sounds. And certainly not as easy as it looks in this movie.
This is a 64 frame improvement over the author's previous movie.

Glover is an animated cartoon-like glove (go figure), complete with only 4 digits. With a ball he can transform into several different forms, he must complete puzzles and navigate dangerous terrain.
The author takes many shortcuts, specifically the kind that were not intended to be used. Read the author's submission for more information about the bugs used.

The barechested alien crushing ultra macho hero is back, and he's portable this time!
This Contra game combines elements from the original Contra and Super C while adding some elements into one action packed game. Watch our hero cruise through 5 levels of steadily increasing difficulty yet still crushing those aliens in record time.
This movie is a 12 second improvement over the previous movie. Improvements come from use of the homing gun and from a bug that allows horizontal screen wrapping.

A resync of the TAS has been console verified.

Here is a game that was made as a tribute to Ronnie James Dio and features him as the main character. Also, the name of the game is taken from Dio's band's Holy Diver album. Beside that, the ending contains additional references to other famous rock/metal figures.
Gameplay of this game is very similiar to Castlevania and some textures and the last boss are similar to Contra's. This game is also known to be nearly impossible to complete on a real console.
This is a 1 minute 36 second improvement over the previous movie due to the use of new tricks, weapon selection, and some new shortcuts.

Midnight Resistance (1990) was a rather lackluster attempt at making a Contra-esque game, ported later to Sega Genesis. Still, it manages to preserve some of the genre's core values, and therefore is well suited for a TAS.
Selected quotes from the author:
Story: an evil enemy kidnaps the hero's family. The hero is pleased, as this gives him a reason to wear a tight sleeveless shirt and blow up stuff with big guns.

In this game you get to control all four turtles and draw use of their different abilities ― or, at least that was the intent, but Donatello has both better reach and damage than the others, so he is used more or less constantly. The game features a well-written in-game dialogue, such as “Here.” and “Oh!”
This is the third movie by adelikat which improved greatly on the previous versions. In the precedent movie, time was saved with a glitch which allows Raphael to pick up items through walls, and figuring out how to get shurikens more often. In this, time is saved by changing the turtles less often and some scattered optimizations, including more effective luck manipulation.

Note: the movie file will not sync on FCEUX 2.1.3 or later.

This is an improvement of 00:13.67 seconds over laughing_gas's princess-only run of Super Mario Bros. 2 (aka. Super Mario USA).
The concept for this run originated long ago because Princess was the only character not used in the normal run aiming for fastest overall time. Since then, improvements have removed Mario from that run as well. (In fact, Princess is the only character not used in the fastest warpless run either.)

River City Ransom is a goofy game that deserves a goofy TAS. This movie showcases cool tricks and some glitches that don't necessarily result in the fastest completion. We also have a movie which aims for speed.
Selected Quote from the authors:
We looked at previous submissions and demonstrations of this game and tried to include the most entertaining parts of what was available, and add in a few ideas of our own along the way. Hopefully you'll get a kick out of it.

A game where you must assemble your shredded-up ticket to go to a heavy metal concert.
This movie is a 47.4 second improvements over the previous movie. Much of the improvements are a result of using the 2-player option where the player can control both characters simultaneously rather than one at a time.
