As was obvious after the submission, it needs a single use of arrow to allow the more important category to stay solid. "Pacifist" is first, "no subweapons" is second, and that second will be bended.

Moved to SourceForge, saved 2 more frames in level 1. https://sourceforge.net/p/feos-tas/code/860/tree/trunk/TAS%20WIPs/DarkwingDuckPacifist-compact.fm3?format=raw Subpixel manipulation doesn't do much aside from some tricks, but the lag picture I was getting at that climbing up part killed any speedups, so it was left untouched. Improved dodging the green tossers, saved improvements through the boss fight, which was simplified unexpectedly.

For the sake of discussion, isn't it technically legal though to own a ROM image, provided you also own a copy of the actual game? Could this be an argument to retain rights in keeping a TAS or playthrough video uploaded?
Yes. Emulation itself has always been an area of "undefined behavior", I haven't seen a single official statement about rights (and lefts) of those who emulate games. It's believed that emulation is okay as long as you own the original. But in no way was that questioned by people who decided to kill TAS encodes. They just said so, period. "I died because the game said I died." They are certain emulation has no rights. Which is as stupid as it can be honestly. Because indeed the laws ruling copyright problems are simply outdated. Warp: that was my opinion, and I don't care how legally correct it is.

Yeah, I want Nintendo to sell me Metroid 2 please, that way I won't need to watch videos of it. PLEEEEEZ!

Returning to my question again, is it worth all 3 additional encodes officially embedded, or a simple youtuber linked from the description?

Hmm, personally I'd be okay with that, but I don't think using hacks as primary encodes is a popular option.

I did all encodes without the dungeon script, now I'm going to light them up, but is it really worth it to make that 3 additional encodes, or just some unofficial youtube stream?

I'd prefer human history shutting down rather than this. When something that created your childhood now tries to kill your youth and maturity.

Then I'd also agree with "stair glitch".

This is exactly what we call a glitched warp. You arrive some place you aren't supposed to visit that soon.

"Major skip glitch" is a tag, not a branch, and it covers all cases I described in Post #403668 If this run does a ton if small glitched warps throughout the whole run, and avoiding them would result in a totally different run with totally different time, it'd still be a "warp glitch". And only for cases that can not be described by those 3 general names we add a unique description.

Not so much a bug, but in the Gens section of the encoding guide there's a step that could be added for Sega CD games. Options > General > Show Sega-CD LED If this option is ticked (which on 11b it is by default, I haven't tested other versions) there are two small markings in the bottom left hand side of the video dumped. If this is something not wanted, maybe add a step to the guide to mention toggling it off if you're doing a Sega CD game dump.
Don't have a SegaCD game to test right now, can you post a couple of images showing this thing?

Viewer response seemed to be decent overall, although there is a discrepancy between the votes and posts that seems to suggest that some people don't know what they are actually voting for. That puts this run in a bit of a grey area, and I opted to go with the positive route. The run also has a bit of an incidental humorous value, which helps to keep it up.

There are 3 basic types of breaking glitches: 1. Game end glitch - skip right to credits. 2. Warp glitch - skip a major portion(s) of the game, but not to its end. 3. SRAM glitch - when you load corrupted save data and all sorts of mad things happen. This run seems to be of the second type.

I am the only author: http://tasvideos.org/pageinfo.exe?page=TasingGuide%2FTASArt But unexpectedly, you seem to be my mental bro, because it's not the first time our notion on TAS matches so much :)
