Yeah, that's a real challenge here! Everyone who TASed 2-3 games is a true compatitor here! Archanfel has done 2 games, but his Comix Zone was really impressive! Mitjitsu has done well too, but I don't really understand the charm of Magic Knight Rayearth and who this game is done for. Despite our wierd MK5 TAS with zoboner, it's still a game and someone played it =) Both Shinobi and Alien 3 were entertaining to watch! maTO has kicked the hardest Genesis game for me: Alien 3. Thank you! If he would take Rambo 3..., because I don't wonna take it too =) The time will show the best TASer, but now it's a mistery inside the enigma for me!

I judge by the quantity of submissions and games' complexity. The year was poor on submissions, so there is not a big variety of choice. Maybe gymnast86 indeed. Wobmiar has TASed the same long game for 3 times. Headshot has done the highest-quality TAS of 2018 in my opinion. So, the best TASers list is over. Since my TAS is totally disregarded, no-one wonders about me.

Some more cold works to the list: [3794] Wii The Conduit by NEVERDOORS in 45:46.70 [3838] GC TMNT: Mutant Melee "100%" by Dimon12321 in 2:42:38.18 Ok mine, it's totally disregarded, but take a look at how great The Conduit is! In my opinion, it has the best tradeoff between timing and entertainment. Everyone loves Zelda because of her popularity. If we omit this factor and watch it on equal with other TASes, Zelda is too long and boring. The same fact concerns Final Fantasy and my TMNT. Vote for the best TAS, not for the favourite GAME!! Also I'm upset about Doom 64's feedback. Seriously! I was waiting for a better applause! Just a few people wrote their impressions though this TAS was waited by hundreds of TASVideos members, while my old crappy submission got 2 of 3 pages of impressions and criticism. Actually, this year is very poor on submissions =(

Here is one mine. I don't know why, but it was difficult to playback the TAS. It seems to be the only ROM that is not stable on FCEUX. Also I TASed Vampire (where you kill vampires in a dark room), but it desyncs. Link to video

Just out of curiosity, how much is it slower comparing with abandoned WIP by Dimon12321? http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/game/1110
First 2 stages are optimal, maybe even faster by a couple of frames (+ faster menu selection), but my stage 3 is more laggy comparing maTO's last cancelled TAS. In theory, to make the game spawn less enemies, you should prevent some enemies from spawning earlier. There is a "spawn" counter in feos' lua script which explains why did the game spawned 5 enemies, for example, instead of normal 3. I thing we have to lose some frames in stage 2 in order to make stage 3,4,... less laggy.

Sure, last one always warns you about the destruction of this prison. maTO did this several years ago and there is a "walkthrough" video somewhere on YT. It's still wierd for me why he didn't submit it on tasvideos. It would definitely have been published. I tried to represent his TAS, but I got problems with spawning system as the game was spawning more enemies on my way - that would raise doubts of me not beating the fastest existing speedruns since my TAS is more laggy. So I abandoned my work =[ UPD: here is maTO's TAS: https://youtu.be/-MGH875SGSQ

Temporary encode has been done. No desyncs for Biz 2.3.0. I still doubt about your route, especially when you go back to kill enemies with your charge attack on the stage 1. Ground bosses seem to be weak enough and you would lose less time if you killed one of them with 2-3 more flames rather than turning back to get rid of the tail. Anyway, these are just my thoughts and you might have done everything correctly. The game is not that funny, just a regular sidescroller. Nevertheless, I haven't got bored. Yes vote. Link to video

Maybe it's because I don't understand english perfectly, but I don't get what you're meaning, here... You mean, if a new bug is discovered, I may end up re-doing the TAS to further optimize it? That's none of my business, I prefer playing glitchless. lol Oh, also, I was wondering: what if I want to post my efforts so far so that people can see it and suggest me other things to do/add/remove from my TAS? Like a open Work-In-Progress where I show you all a video and you say "you can save time by doing this/that" ect...
I mean, people won't enjoy much if you do everything like in speedrun. Yes, you can create a thread and post files and videos there, but don't wait for hype (excitement) from people! This community reacts weakly on games that are different from Mario and Sonic. Maybe 1-2 people will respond. I found that on own skin!

Wow, I didn't notice it's possible to kill only right tank in order to get through in Area 2. Nice glitch in Area 8. Is it possible to improve main TAS using this glitch? Yes vote!

It's alright! TASing judgement is always aimed on in-game time (IGT): the time, that is spent on actual walkthorugh, not on loadings. As far as I know, Gamecube's version of SC 2003 is as simplified as PS2 version is, but has better graphics. Both versions show 30 FPS. The worst thing is if you discover no glitches and just repeat what speedrun has done. That's why I'm not interested in TASing SC series yet. Coop is a real pain in the butt for TASing. It's still damn difficult if you TAS a 2D game with the help of TAS editor and just tick on your input spreadsheet sequence to see what will happen. In a 3D game, you should take a list of paper and write down your full input for each frame and check for several times if everything works as you planned. In short, your progress will as slow as a snail crawls.

PCSX2 is a bad choice for learning, as bad as Dolphin is. You ought to pick an easier emulator first: like FCEUX or lsnes. Try to TAS Super Mario Bros, not for submission, but to feel how the TASing process comes over, and to improve your skills, of course. Getting started with a complex game is a bad sign. I was also inspired by the TASes listed above, I showed this: #4267: Dimon12321's N64 Doom 64 in 41:22.45, and guess what? It was rejected due to my pure skills and bad game knowledge. Try something simple first, but, nevertheless, it's up to you! Good luck!

I'm planning to TAS Serious Sam Advance some day. There is a unusual trick with the password. When you reach the pre-last level (Praetorian Fort), the game gives you the password in order to continue the game from this level. If you quit the game and enter it in the password section, you continue the game with all weapons, even those that you might not get yet. Here is that moment. So, the question is: Is that allowed to use a password, given by the game during the TAS, in order to get such a time-saving benefit?
