Two days ago I completed all 32 levels in smb1 in 19:59 by SDA, and 20:02 by TG. I believe those times are correct. No powerups, no deaths!

Nice, I'll be watching for this. And since you posted in the competition forum, you've openly challenged everyone to beat it at the same time. ;)

If I were to post it any other place it would have been sent to this thread. Yeah, i'm sending that to SDA tommorow I think. That run should really be like 15 seconds better, I think I was being over cautious.

Your goal is to complete as many levels as you can without using warp in Super Mario Bros. There are 32 levels in total. You will get a full completion is to beat the game without using the warp.

I don't mean to sound rude, but it seems like you state the obvious a lot in your posts. I know that you're speaking English (as you've made clear in other posts), but is it your first language? I'm not sure, but your writing reads like you put a sentence from another language through a translation program and then posted the output. Please feel free to ask questions about games, but just stating previously mentioned facts or pointing out what the goal of a game can become annoying after a while.

LOL, I've always thought how awesome it would be in MI3 if there was a massive explosion when the message self-destructs, killing him instantly. On topic: I think it is a good idea to get power ups. I forget why, but I know the current TAS gets them.

They get them so that they can kill bowser and the bridge does not collapse. That saves about 2.5 seconds every bowser, except the last one. I'm thinking maybe I should get powerups, but I cannot run straight through and hit bowser with 5 fireballs without stopping. getting the powerups takes quite a bit of time as well. I've been experimenting with it though. Doesn't seem to help me much. I cannot tell if it would save me any time, just because it is hard to manuever mario when he is big. Do you guys think I should get the firepower or stay small the whole time when attempting another run of this?

I suggest staying small. Less room for error.
