For those who remember the old Sierra text adventures of the 1980's, this might interest you--a private group has remade the first two King's Quest games in VGA format, like KQ's 5/6. They have new digital music and voice support, new puzzles (and re-arranging of the old ones), and generally an entirely new feel to them, although those who've played the old ones should feel comfortable. So, go check it out, if you're inclined. (Oh, they're also working on a remake for Quest for Glory 2: Trial by Fire. All games are for Windows alone.)

IMO, they completely butchered #2, and they named it Romancing the Stones, rather than Romancing the Throne. However, #1 was a decent VGA port, although I prefer the old text-prompts anyday.
