A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

I don't have any music to share right now, well I know how important music for a game or for the movie. I simply used to listen to background music while playing a video game.

Link to video This theme really reminds me of another theme, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Also I dig this.

Can someone explain to me why people are treating Sans as if he was an actual fighter?

Link to video It's illegal to make a bassline this funky. (I could really list the entire Soundtrack of Persona 3 to Persona 5 for great tunes, but that would be a bit too much for one post.)

Due to imperfect manufacturing technologies of the time and poor separation between the analog and digital parts of the chip, the 6581's output (before the amplifier stage) was always slightly biased from the zero level. Each time the volume register was altered, an audible click was produced. By quickly adjusting the amplifier's gain through the main 4-bit volume register, this bias could be modulated as PCM, resulting in a "virtual" fourth channel allowing 4-bit digital sample playback.
I was aware many PSG chips could be coerced into playing PCM. This is the first time I've heard it integrated into actual music.

I've begun to develop a certain appreciation for "B themes" in video game music. These tracks aren't necessarily as great as Mega Man music, or as polished. Often, the games they come from aren't even particularily great. However, I still think they're memorable and contain something unqiue that makes them worth listening to. Usually it's just the atmosphere or some element of it I really like. So, without further ado, here's a couple that caught my fancy, in no particular order: MSX Mr. Ghost / Yurei Kun - Stage 1 PC An Untitled Story - Ice Castle PSX Kingsley's Adventure - Snuff's Cave SNES Mohawk and Headphone Jack - Coysehaiys Track 1 GBC Animoprhs - Space Station NES Whomp 'Em - Forest Test ZX Spectrum Cybernoid - Title TG16 Bloody Wolf - Stage 2 Genesis Super Hydlide - Out of Freedom And, for a double special: Dragon Warrior 3: Cave [NES|SNES] (Hyadain)

So, with the increased time I have, I have been listening to musics of videogames I grew up with (read retro music). But I am running out of games to listen and would like to discover some new retro games that has good musics or songs. So... Music wise, what are popular retro games? What video games songs were a hit? (Or that you liked...) Any good remixes out there?

I for one have been working on some remasters of some Pokémon music and this one gets me in particular, the pitch bends and the modulation effects this is a great MIDI to work with and I use a ripped MIDI with the soundfont from the game - I'm going to get someone to make an accurate transcription soon! Here the latest mixdown I uploaded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSPaX6GwcQg And last year I got someone to make me a re-arrangement in Logic and his master was pretty good - although now I got a better MIDI file with accurate pitch bends I should make a new mixdown of this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cMXsRawGSg The modulation on the EXS24 plugin makes it vibrate and echo in some parts it's pretty cool!

I run a YouTube channel where I put up HD restores of old video-game music! Currently only Nintendo 64, but more will come later: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCtX_wedtZ5BoyQBXEhnVZw/playlists Video-Game OST HQ All songs are “HD.” “Retro” means it matches the original very closely. “+” means that it has been updated just a bit, most commonly via an upgrade from mono reverb to stereo reverb. The uncompressed .WAV files are linked in the playlist descriptions! I’ll put a spotlight on a few that I enjoy hearing: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWsnao9n727NlIzmfwrm5qVORx7J9M8k_ Super Smash Bros. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWsnao9n727O5DNkMcytpzwi0osll4-lv Perfect Dark (Surround) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWsnao9n727P409h_v2pItgObGSMxdZ1A Blast Corps https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWsnao9n727PyXcmlGUnt9pb0VIu9vN40 Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards All videos adhere to all Nintendo guidelines, no USF/SoundFonts/trackers are used, and all are recorded from scratch in crisp clear HD! I do often take requests for the next OST to restore and almost all games are possible, but some of them still require a lot of R&D, so I won’t be able to address all requests in a timely manner. Please enjoy!

Due to various circumstances, I recently found myself playing TNT Evilution, one of the expansion packs for Doom 2. I went into the game with a lot of expectations. What I didn't expect however was for the soundtrack to be this much of a banger.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Some of music I like to hear from N64 games disappeared from my favorite list (user delete / private). And you brought them back on youtube with even better quality.

Its obvious that we all like vgm, hence here. But I want to share a guy who is incredible at remixing game music with modern music. Qumu is I think the best game mix maker Some of my favourites are : 1. Egadd's Lab - https://youtu.be/Qfir-aBf1Ko 2. SMW Ghost House - https://youtu.be/jgeSS0fjJoo 3. Definitely Plaza - https://youtu.be/j6L1V6_odKs 4. Calamari Incantation - https://youtu.be/V8sm3MK73Ls 5. Octopus Expansion - https://youtu.be/Rdx_b7YrWsE Some times, I think he should be even higher in the hierarchy of music composers
My TASing channel ; My MUSIC channel ; My SoundCloud ; My HomePage ; Music Composer ; Mr.TASer#5922 VCop 2 TAS completed, but in a completely different way ; And SMB - GAGOTO (WL) TAS COMPLETED TILL W-4 ; Some more...
