"A shark's soul is trapped inside an 8x10 area rug. It's General Major Cadaver Scab's duty to keep the shark tame. Can he? CAN ANYONE?"
Play as the Carpet Shark. Eat as many victims as you can before the timer and your health run out.
Trying to figure things out. Not perfect by any means. Can't wait to see people improve on it.

DrD2k9: Claiming for judging.
DrD2k9: While submitting runs of your games to TASVideos is an interesting (and potentially worthwhile) way to build awareness of said games, we strive to only publish movies that demonstrate a high level of optimization for a given goal.
As the main stages of this game are timed events, there's no room for time optimization in those areas; leaving only the boss battles as possible opportunities to optimize input for time.
Unfortunately, this submission is sub-optimal and can be improved as early as the first boss fight, as demonstrated in this example. As a specific note, it can be seen in the encode of the submission that the first reflected weapon of the boss in round 1 hits the boss well after second weapon is thrown. This delays the damage and the boss' invulnerability time enough that the second reflected weapon does not actually damage the boss which wastes further time and requires waiting for an additional (4th) weapon to be thrown. The linked userfile improves the boss fight and gets to the next stage 54 frames earlier by fixing the noted delays. There may be even more potential improvement if someone else wants to look deeper into this game; I did not test hitting the boss as early as possible and then doing the 2-hit attack pattern after, but this would be worth looking into.
Rejecting for optimization. Please use UserFiles for any future runs that you anticipate are sub-optimal and would like either feedback or more work by other TASers regarding optimization; thus reserving the submission page for runs you believe are fully optimized.
NOTE: If anyone else picks up this game, please be aware that the game can also be started one frame earlier than where this submission or the linked userfile starts.

A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.
