Heh, I was in the DKR contest in my area. I didn't come close to lapping the second best competitor, but every time I played I'd win by about 20 seconds, and I kept picking up my time. I would've had about six t-shirts at the end of it, but I started giving them to the second place guy, rofl. Of course, I'm no good at any other game, but I seem to have a lot of 'beginner's luck' whereas my plateau is lower.

Hoo... I used to have a 40GB drive full of game music, but it died on me the week before I got my new burner to back it up :( Right now I've got about 20GB on my main drive. River City Ransom has been the one I've been playing a lot lately :D

I recorded my New Game + playthrough of Disgaea. With all of the 'cutscenes' and letting the dialogue play to completion, it was around six hours. Edit: Just to give an example of how short some games really are without levelling up ;)

Sorry for my bad english, but i am german.. I don't want to hurt anybody of you all, your Speedrun-Video's are very cool and i like all of it. I look every new of the Runs, and i love 'em, but i do not SaveState to record them, i play them real, i like that way a little bit more. Greets, Spawn!
Wait, is that a "Time Attack" or a "Speed Run"? Graaah I'm so confused :X

Okay. In no particular order (there may be better stuff on there now... I haven't raided OC ReMiX in a while): Faried V. & Leon v H. - Castlevania_WickedestChild_OC_ReMix.mp3 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00252 insomnic - SuperMario2_Insomnic_OC_ReMix.mp3 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00268 Stevie-G - Dragon_Warrior_DragonHop_OC_ReMix.mp3 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00479 (Slower, but it could work, maybe just for an intro?) Grodan Grobi - Wizards_and_Warriors_GrosseLederhosen_OC_ReMix.mp3 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00457 (Again, the first part for an intro?) Gux - Megaman3_Its_Boss_Time_OC_Remix.mp3 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00115 slaveone - Arkanoid_c64Vibe_OC_ReMix.mp3 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00277 (Well, I like it ^_^) Instant - GhostsnGoblins_Instant_OC_ReMix.mp3 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00004 (Definitely for more of a trailer, heh) So far I'm leaning towards the Mario II.

I'm going through what I have left of my 60GB of video game music *kicks dead 40GB drive*. I'll give some suggestions from OC ReMiX stuff maybe.

Hmm, maybe it would be best to timestamp when these occur to save you time?

Dragon Warrior: Putting the Dragonlord to sleep. :D I'll rewatch and see if anything sparks my memory :) Edit: River City Ransom: Either the first attack sequence on Simon, or the "grab, jump, toss, turn, mid-air punch to kill". :) Metroid: Skip Ridley.

You know, I think a compilation video of some of the coolest glitches/video segments would make a good trailer :)

Some kind of rating system for each 'trait' (flawlessness, speed, coolness, innovation) would be neat to have, although that may hurt some videos where it doesn't apply, and if it was open to public voting you'd get all the 'omg NOT REAL' people voting '0', like the idiots on Newgrounds.com. It'd be very tricky to have anything open to the general public in that department ;) Any way to have a forum thread whenever a new video is posted where people could comment on or make suggestions? Then again, that would probably be overkill since that already happens well BEFORE the .avi is released, hehe.

While I liked both Bubble Bobble and the Zelda run, I'd have to say it's a tossup between SMB2, River City Ransom, and Solstice. Solstice was crazy :D The Doom II run was pretty impressive as well :)

Yeah, I don't really know if you could really get a speedrun for that kind of stuff, unless you were looking for flag capture records. Even then, it's easier to record game demos since they allow for multiple points of view.

Try the VLC player at http://www.videolan.org It's the player I've used for every video I've downloaded off this site, and I've never had any problems.
