Hey, I knew that guy. Hosted / helped run his SMBZ fan-site. Cool guy.
Really? That's awesome. Yeah, Morimoto's TAS was also one of the first TASes I watched :)

After watching nintendodsg's "How to Beat Super Mario 64", I stumbled upon one of SwordlessLink's old TASes of SM64. Either that, or one of the first SMB TASes back in the day. Ah, nostalgia...

I don't find spamming the fireball movie that annoying, really. Great run overall. Excellent work, Nahoc!

How do wall jumps and through wall glitches work exactly? I was thinking something similar might be possible on TMNT, since all walls are divided into blocks exactly like SMB and with other glitches with limited use you can get inside walls and jump, but can't move through them.

Hard as fuck platformer. I made a testrun which you can see here: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/560636821/Gremlins2.vbm I'm going to start working on a submittable run. (I used vba-v24-alpha for the testrun and will for the submittable run)
Ah, nice to see someone finally taking a shot at this game. Can't wait to see results!

Damn... that's not good, and I guess you are the only one trying to get it to work (correct me if I'm wrong)
Well, I haven't even attempted to run Mupen for a while. I'll probably end up messing around with it again sometime this week. Hopefully if I can get BT to run, I'll start up a WIP.

sure does, and @Ashra: is Banjo-Tooie TASable?
Still not sure, I haven't been able to get my mupen to work correctly.

when will a new 120 stars run finished?
I feel the Japanese SM64 TASers are making good progress, though I've only seen a few WIPs... most of which differ in routes. Any SM64 player who keeps in touch with the Japanese TASers, (Nahoc, maybe?) might be able to tell you how much progress they've made thus far.

I like what I've seen so far. Looks like a great game choice. Hope to see more WIPs soon! :)

Stages like Brinstar and Icicle Mountain were entertaining to me, but I would have to agree that most battles are a bit repetitive. I feel stages like F-Zero Grand Prix and Underground Maze could be slightly improved. Otherwise, the run looks great, Rene! Wak's WIPs were pretty entertaining as well. Keep up the good work, guys!

"Banjo-Tooie cannot be [played on mupen] because the plateau fire egg switch cannot be activated to open the gate to the witchyworld area." Or can you get that to work too?
I'm not entirely sure whether the problem has been resolved, but I'll play through the entire game once to see if Mupen64Plus has fixed all emulation problems for this game.

I started up a WIP of this game ages ago. I haven't test anything for awhile, but I feel it would be faster if you continued running in the first room up to the green book, and entered the wall, grabbing the black paint at the top. Though, I can't remember if the following door is closer to the Test Area. EDIT: Tested this. Its roughly 100 frames slower.

I'm thinking I may start up a run soon. Route planning will be a bitch, though.

Yeah Desmume can play 3DS games, sure! -.-
Uh, I know a certain desmume dev who is working on implementing 3DS support, since the CPUs are similar, so it wasn't a dumb question. You are just being an uneducated ass at this point.
