Kinikola has discovered how to water slide while holding fruit: Link to video Link to video doubt this could be implemented in the any% TAS, but it could very likely come in handy for 120 shines

Awesome timesaver in Sirena 4 Link to video Also, I agree with HP that it would be better on PAL + Italian (Not just from text, but from version differences), but it would probably be too much of a hassle to change that now.

Sorry don't understand what this means
It appears to be a comparison between: 1. The new TAS (top left) 2. Toobou's WR RTA (top right) 3. The 2010 TAS (bottom left)

There's still some minor improvements to be implemented; namely, the Petey RNG in Bianco 5 wasn't optimal for the third cycle.

Ok, tight. Now that the 6th and final part is uploaded, I assume that people will go back and optimize any minor issues and such?

- Was the "talk to woman" glitch used at Pianta Village 2? I don't know if it works on only specific versions of the game and under what conditions, but sometimes Mario talks to the woman instead of Piantissimo which cuts down the dialogue. video
At this point in the run, the text skip does not work (hence, nobody does it in RTAs). As far as I can tell, this particular skip only works under two conditions: 1. You're doing Pianta 2 before unlocking the Delfino Square statue 2. You're doing Pianta 2 later in the game when you're intended to go there It baffles me as to why it's so oddly specific, but every month there seems to be more things about this game that don't make complete sense to me, lol.

I thought you just needed the 7th shine of every world to reach Bowser, and others didn't matter.

Looks great, Phailsku! I know that this TAS isn't meant to be serious and 100% optimized or anything, but if I could make a couple of suggestions: -On the 4th shine (Spraying the beach), you could use this method of using a spam spray out of a rollout -On Pianta 2, the text cancellation by standing within the range of speaking to the dancer when Piantissimo talks to you does work at this point in the game iirc, so you could save about 7 text boxes worth of time there -During the Ricco pirahna plant, you can pick up the blue coin in the 'M' behind the box while waiting for the 2nd phase I hope you take these into consideration :)

Collecting that extra shine was a pretty stupid mistake... He's going to lose 2.5 seconds (or how ever long it is) because of the extra cutscene when he enters the hub world... <_<
Umm... the shine doesn't count unless the animation plays and the popup box appears. He obtained the shine during the cutscene transition, which canceled the "Shine Get" animation. It was solely for entertainment, and didn't cost any time, so it's aight in my books.
