Your blood, sweat and tears to make this run happen are much appreciated, my man. I have to admit, I'm more interested in seeing how you tackle FF7 by just a smidgen. However, I've been 'in the dark' as far as actual game play except for an hour of Disc 1. I am uncredibly stoked, and I wish you the best of luck. <3!

It might also be worth it to look at the PS1/Saturn version. If anything, it has extra horizontal resolution and CD-DA streaming background music (which is nothing short of amazing, easy +1 entertainment point for that alone).
I was not aware of that, that'll make my next run so much more pleasant. Thanks! Also gonna +1 on that. I know EWJ is notoriously hard, I put it in the same level as Battletoads. Good luck to whoever ends up tackling this!

I just watched that wrong warp...... uhm. That was certainly something, and not anything I'm familiar with in 24 years of playing. Call me crazy, but I really feel like the 'actual' map he ended up dying on was the Quick Man stage's jump into the death-beam maze. The series of jumps and terrain leading up to the pit death is making me lean pretty hard on that... Anyway, we definitely need more information before we can start theorizing/figuring out if it could be useful. I'll let the RM2 Masters figure this one out. Good luck, guys!

Here, have a 'Yes' vote that essentially means welcome to TASvideos, we all have made some sort of mistake at some point around here. We look forward to seeing any movie that you want to submit that meets the current rules and guidelines. Thanks for wanting to share, though! :]

I always see these amazing submissions right before I go to bed. Ah well, looking forward to more delicious FractalFusion encodes in the morning! Also pumped for 100% X2. Hetfield90, you are a beast.

Wow, quite shocking. While I wouldn't call us close friends, I knew her before I even found out she was also in the TAS/dolphin scene. A few years ago on International Ragnarok Online, I joined one of her guilds on an alt. She also ran a couple of cute buff/heal bots in Prontera that I used occasionally. If you're up for some positive feelings, check out her website (The best internet on the internet) at: https://wetfish.net/ which hosts one of the best wikis I've ever seen, deserving of its own link: http://wiki.wetfish.net/ Hours of laughs and WTFs practically guaranteed. You will be missed, I'll always remember you making me laugh and always being right on the iRO forums.

Umm... I've actually made a couple .gifs from TASes for reasons: Enjoy, I guess? GifCam is a fun little Windows program.

As much as I desperately want to click those links, I'll just have to stalk the submission queue. This run deserves to be viewed via movie file playback. My daughter will appreciate it too, I'm sure! (hope i don't end up in another sig for that one)

Holy moly, thank you for the thorough and detailed reply, Aran Jaeger. Super Metroid is one of those games that I simply can't know enough about, even just as a semi-casual RTA'er. I'm gonna have some fun running (more like jogging) these new routes!

I am very interested in this new discovery, any info would be appreciated. I'm particularly curious as to why it's PAL only, I can only guess it has to do with Speed Booster frame-check rules.

I am wholly pumped to the max for some new SMB3 action from y'all, I'm sure your effort will prove to be a complete mindfudge. This nonsensical post was simply to track the thread. :]

FractalFusion, thanks once again for the delicious encode. I can also confirm YT allowing 60FPS videos now, it was a huge complaint of mine for far too long. Dat Bospider fight, sweating_towel_guy.jpg. I knew we were in for some improvements (based WIPs queue) but the sled break is a great example of RNG manipulation hidden in swag. I appreciate the any% update greatly, thank you, Hetfield. This movie also made me think of something: 100% seems to be the hot category for RTA'ers, which always seemed odd to me, but now I realize it's the more reliable run with far less boss RNG. Funny how that works with MMX, it's usually not the case.

I'm pumped, you guys are blazing along. I've been following the thread for quite a while now, viewing a WIP or two (don't want to spoil too much) here and there, but it's time to sequester myself. See you guys in the submission queue!

Maaan. I've been following this for a while, both strategies for W1 Boss were insane. Godspeed, gentlemen. Looking fantastic so far!

Eh, FractalFusion's awesome encode is what's going in my archive. I'm not sure if I'll even bother with the publication encodes, just the replay file will do. On topic, fantastic work and congrats on the Moon+Improvements, Hetfield. The old X runs were some of the very first TASes I saw, it's crazy to see how much it's changed now.

Nothing short of miraculous. I only scoped out 10 minutes in the middle and I'm ecstatic. The overlay is also very revealing and well done. Fantastic work, man.

Been a fan of this playlist for a while now, thanks for the updates! If I had one complaint, I suppose it's that there's no SF Sakura. Think I'm gonna just have to do my dream TAS of PS1 Street Fighter Alpha III Sakura World Tour Mode myself...

I really wish I wasn't reading about this right before I need to sleep! Definitely looking into this tomorrow, very pumped for this finished mod as well as a TAS for it. Original Cave Story and nitsuja's TAS are in my top 5s, respectively. <3 edit: A little sad about Snake not being helpful, but oh well! I'm not sure if the Spur can make an appearance, but I'd love to see it get some use.

Wowies. Absolute yes vote, and to obsolete both runs in question (even though I supported, and still do, the ACE run being published)... Not much more to say regarding that! As for the cutscene-less temp-encode, I love it, and would always love to see more official encodes with .lua scripts and other enhancements such as: -Super Metroid out-of-bounds overlay, 'world map', and I also have a saved encode someone made with current/old Reverse Boss Order with a black Samus 'ghost' that represented the old run. A favorite, because it's so interesting to see the tiny differences that make the runs different! -Chrono Trigger with levels/stats info -Sonic 3 'Atlas' encodes/camhack to follow Sonic -Super high resolution Goldeneye/Super Mario 64 And other such things. I'm at the level of obsession where I have specific emulator folders set up just for certain movies and games, but professionally-made encodes are preferred!

Yes, exactly as Derakon said. I can't comment on when the game checks PB # for Crystal Flash, though. In his 100% run, Cpadolf dropped a PB, finished GT boss and returned to the PB to CF and get the missile pack early. Shown here: http://youtu.be/TNTv68Ngbs4?t=51m

Have you seen the latest iteration of MM7 runs? They're extremely interesting compared to the previous.
On your word, I'll curb my prejudice for MM7 and give them a watch tomorrow. On topic, I've watched this 4 or 5 times by now, and I am still blown away at all the changes I notice each time! Fantastic run. :]
