Well, if he matches him in time units in every level, or does it one slower to avoid fireworks, it shouldn't be a problem.

I've worked on it not seriously, and the time is easily beatable by several seconds. One of Yy's problems was not pressing left and right to slow down. And it was done with the 30 fps Famtasia. He did that level with the spring at the very end to slow (2-1?), and he missed several coins and enemies. He didn't do the backwards jumping trick at the start. So, a better movie can easily be done. Too bad that none of the glitches just discovered can really be used in the movie (I think) Oh, and are you going for fastest in real time, or fastest in time units?

Well, you can't answer which is better, since each one is better than the other one in some things. The only questions I can think of are: "Which do you prefer?", "Which emulates an nes better?", and "Which one is the best to make time attacks with?"

Define 'better'. I prefer to use FCEU if that is what you are asking.

There's nothing wrong with it. And what program he used shouldn't matter. What error do you get?

If you check published movies, there is a run. If you check the submissions, there is a run (though not for snes)

So, Metroid Prime 2 had apparently been Fusion'd. While sequence breaking is possible, it's not nearly as much as in the other games. KaitouKid (BombAHead) should know more about it. Or you could try going to #echoes on irc.metroid2002.com . *plays some more MP 2*

Oh, Bisqwit was not talking to you. He was talking to others who were using slang words that foreigners would not understand well. We realize that you are not fluent in English, so we don't expect you to speak perfect English. You are doing fine.

Well, it's ambiguous wording. The movie is completed in 35 seconds. The game in completed in 53. So, are we talking about the game, or the movie, when we say it is completed?

Well, first of all, does anyone disagree with the ending to the monolpoly movie? It ends early, but you can't stop it or slow it down no matter what you press (reset and power off still stop it, but those don't really count)

I'm assuming that backwards jumps are faster, so I am voting yes for this. I didn't really mind the pipe entry. I probably wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't been mentioned. And yes, the backwards swimming was awesome. There was also two enemies that I think you could have gotten, but I'm not sure. A flying koopa at the start of 8-1 (though I think that it was a bit to far from the ledge to hit), and the goombas on the stairs in 8-2. Maybe also the mushroom (?) block at the end of 1-2 could have been hit. Still really good though.

Gah! Too bad that it was still above five minutes. 38 frames seems to be a lot to improve by :/ Well, not sure how the rounding goes so it might be less. I'm at school now, so I can't see it now. I wonder how 4-1 was improved though.

Well, assuming it's loaded with the same condition (i.e. hard reset), then the randomness shoud be the exact same everytime, no matter how precise the randomness is. It has to be a bug in the emulator that causes the desyncs, since the rom can't do anything really random (just psuedo random).

Since when has the choice on how to calculate randomness had any correlation on desync? As far as I know, the main problem with desyncs is the buggy sound support.

Mint can....um....weaken the enemie's defense! Ha! A perfect reason to use her. Now you don't have to use those idiots Klarth and Chester. And as cool as Arche is, Mint is so much more. Still though, I don't think that it would make that great of a run. Even though it's a great game, many people haven't heard of it, let alone played it. And even though I really enjoyed it, I don't think that I could sit down and watch a movie of this being played. Oh, and the other reason for not having a run is because the ninja village would be skipped, which makes any run instantly fail.

Well, maybe a few coins aren't enough, but it's policy here to reject a movie if it is faster by a little bit but played more sloppy.

Well, I think that it is worthy of being published, but I think that it shouldn't be because of two reasons. Like Michael Fried said, he missed some coins and coin blocks (don't know about the lost frames), and secondly because Phil and now Michael are both making improved runs. Too bad that none of the new tricks can be used in the warpless run.

If you meant snaily, then you meant VirtuaNES, not FCEU.

Well, there are two problems that I see with this. The first one is that your movie doesn't do anything that's really impossible to do in real life. As I was watching the movie, this could have been played in real time and without rerecords and I wouldn't have been surprised. The second in the length. This game falls under the "fun to play but boring to watch" catagories. Even if you like to play it, I don't think that many people would like to watch nearly an hour of this game. You played the game well, but I don't think that it has potentiol to be a good movie. Oh, and why did you pick that nickname? I really hope that the gamefaqs admin would not go around and brag about his position. And if you're not him, you're impersonating him, which is not good either.

It doesn't really impress anyone :/ That's not saying that it doesn't work though. It is good enough to make most of the movies on this site, and runs ok. But lately lots of people have been switching to FCEU. (though you still need Famtaia to work in order to play the fmvs if you don't want to get the avi)

Uh...continue rerecording from right before the end and ending it at the proper time this time...
