This is really entertaining (just like the currently published run). I also like the dancing to the boss music you do. Yes vote.

What?
I think he meant "good emulator" instead of "good run".

This run was great, but the whole thing is one auto-scrolling level. I'm not sure whether this is a good game to TAS though. Voting meh for the run.
The run is a well-done improvement, so since a TAS of the game is already on the site, regardless of the movie's entertainment value, it will be accepted anyway. That said, it's a good improvement (over 10 seconds!), so I'm voting Yes.

Thanks for the encode, natt! Was it the wall glitch at the end of the run that saved time, Sonikkustar? It caught me off-guard and it was cool seeing you drop onto the "Round End" sign. Nice improvement! Yes vote.

I like this run. It's short enough to be entertaining. Also, I like the Captain Falcon heads in the last level (well, that's what they look like). Yes vote.

What Warepire said, and also make sure you're making your TAS on the "more-save-fixes"/"TAS-input" Dolphin revision: 32-bit version or 64-bit version

Yeah, I'm glad that MrGrunz has announced that an alternative method that's a few seconds slower is being planned for any% to avoid the Stick on B issue altogether. So, thankfully, we shouldn't be seeing any more of those posts.

Could ReneBalow's Gelato Beach 1 be improved by using your Delfino Plaza cutscene waterslide trick to get closer to the sand castle during the cutscene?

Aren't you part of the project? You should ask adelikat about changing the extension (since I don't think he's reading this topic anymore). I'm sure he's open to suggestions.

This game should probably not be TASed until there's a stable version.
The abusable kind of bugs, or are we talking about bugs that make the game unwinnable? If the bugs can be abused like the ones in Bio Force Ape, maybe a glitched TAS could be made. After seeing the trailer feos posted in the Windows TAS Wishlist thread, I'm looking forward to seeing this game TASed.

In this case, the Japanese version of the game is used by every real-time OoT speedrunner. That was one of the reasons why DarkKobold decided it should be accepted.

I don't know the cause of the desync, but anyway this movie syncs only on FCEUX.
It's probably because your run uses FCEUX's old PPU, while BizHawk uses a better version of FCEUX's new PPU. Also, I liked the run. It's fast for an RPG TAS, and it has high technical value with your manipulating all of those memory addresses. Yes vote!

Welcome to TASVideos! Great to see you're working on a GameCube game (so am I!). I'll answer your questions: 1. If a key is pressed every frame for three frames, it would be the equivalent of holding that key for three frames. There isn't a way to alternate pressing and releasing a key any faster way, and the game will think you're holding the key down instead of pressing it two or three times, meaning on-off-on is the fastest pattern that the game will accept. 2. If you're trying to make an optimal TAS, I strongly advise you to use frame advance. If the run isn't as fast as you can make it, it will probably be rejected. But if you're just slowing down Dolphin to test some strategies, then I would recommend changing graphics settings, such as increasing the resolution the game runs at. 3. I don't know why the TAS input window isn't working in that situation. As soon as the window is opened, it should be the only input being recorded (as other sources of input are disabled). When you close the window, the game should start receiving input from your controller again. Does that function work for you? 4. I don't know the answer to this one, but someone who has worked on finding memory addresses for 3D games could help you (like the Sonic Adventure 2: Battle TASers). 5. Dolphin has a built-in Action Replay that can be accessed by right-clicking the game on the game select list. I tested it a little while ago on 3.0-378 and it didn't work, but I know it worked for r7719, so maybe you could test stuff out on that revision if you have problems getting it to work. 6. Yes. Please see this thread. In short, uncheck Enable Dual Core and Enable Idle Skipping, use LLE audio (you will need two files from a real GameCube/Wii for this) and please use the revision 3.0-378 "more-save-fixes". That revision has been out for a few months and thanks to nitsuja's save fixes, no one has reported any desyncs in the movies it creates. The link to that revision and the "improved TAS input" revision are in the thread I linked to. If you're using any other revision, the movie file you're currently making won't sync. Usually, you will be able to hex edit a few inputs and it will sync fine. Dolphin does not currently have any Lua support. And Wii Remote input recording is still broken, though Wii games can be TASed if played using a GameCube controller (like Muramasa). If you have any other questions about Dolphin or GameCube TASing, ask any of the Dolphin thread regulars (including me) here. We would be more than happy to help you.

Only 5.5 seconds to improve and this will be as good as the Super Mario Bros TAS for NES.
It's already as good as SMB "warps", but an improvement of 5.5 seconds would definitely make this run as fast as SMB "warps".

I like Brandon's suggestion of "StarHawk" as the emulator's name. However, if everyone working on the emulator has decided on "BizHawk", then I think that's fine too. By the way, I think I mistyped the extension I was suggesting: ".bhm" (BizHawk Movie) appears to be more correct than ".bkm" (BizHawk Movie?). However, looking back at it, ".bkm" looks better to me as a movie file extension than ".bhm", kind of like how PCSX-rr's movie file extension looks better as ".pxm" (PCSX Movie) than anything else. Of course, adelikat has the final say in this, but I would really like him to consider my suggestion to change the movie file extension (which appears to be a popular opinion) and change it if he agrees that it needs to be changed.

Bizhawk (my opinion is there should be a name change)
I agree. I like the "Hawk" part of the name, but not "Biz". Maybe if someone suggested a better name, it could be changed, like how Hourglass would have been "WinTASer" if Raiscan hadn't suggested the better name? Also, I'm not sure that .tas is a good extension for the movie files created by the emulator. You said that you want BizHawk to appeal to casual gamers too, and casual gamers sometimes like making movies of themselves playing in real-time (like for Let's Plays), but those movies aren't TASes. If BizHawk becomes as popular as FCEUX and the movie file extension is widely known, people might come to know .tas as the BizHawk movie file extension. Then it might be confusing whether someone is talking about a .tas or a TAS. Plus, BizHawk's movie files aren't the only TASes; there are other rerecording emulators that create TASes, and this term shouldn't be only representative of BizHawk (people might think TASVideos only has BizHawk movies, and not visit because they were looking for an N64 or SNES TAS). Maybe .bkm (BizHawk movie, or whatever the name might change to) would be better and more representative of what the file actually is?

I think EagleEye has it right. Also, like rog has said, the only valid argument against Dolphin is that it doesn't run at full speed, but if the site will not accept a run using Deku Stick on B done on Mupen, it's the only choice. In everything other than emulation speed and encoding, Dolphin is perfect for doing the run with this trick.

That won't work in a submission on the Workbench. TASVideoAgent or TASVideos Grue will always post after you've "ended the thread" whether it's published or rejected/cancelled, respectively.

After reading the reasons you have posted, I definitely like the idea of BizHawk replacing PCEjin and Dega. I think it should replace those emulators right away. But I think the site should still allow FCEUX submissions for a while, so people who like to make 4-player TASes or use TASedit can still make their TASes on FCEUX. I like the sound of the improvements BizHawk has over FCEUX too. I have two questions though: 1. Are runs done on BizHawk more likely to sync on a real NES? 2. I'm curious as to the origin of the emulator's name. Why "BizHawk"?

I think I forgot to mention it, but I love the long, easy-to-follow, in-depth submission text. It's really helpful to people like me who don't know exactly what the glitches are and how they're activated. You also explained everything that I would've had to ask you a question about anyway. I appreciate you making this kind of submission text for all of your runs, and I hope you continue to do this for your future runs too (like The Wind Waker, maybe).

A new emulator? Why do we need two rerecording emulators that support NES games? Could you post some reasons this emulator should be used for NES/SMS/GG/PCE TASing instead of FCEUX?
