I am having the problem rog had earlier with the 223 savestate that stops my 191 movie where it last ended instead of playing out the full length of the dtm. Is there a way to get Dolphin to read the 3.0-191 dtm's length instead of the length of a loaded 223 savestate from a previous session? Since my TAS will be about 6 hours long, I don't think I'll be able to handle playing my movie from the beginning every 1-2 minutes of the movie that I'll be checking for desyncs. I know from rog's testing that you can't get the savestate to work by hex editing its frame count, and I know from my testing that replacing the .dtm part of the 223 savestate with the finished 191 movie will make it not play at all.

I think they have to be published in 2011. None of the submissions in the Workbench are listed on the page Ilari linked to (all movies to choose from).

No problem. I'm glad you read my comment before you continued your run.

OK, I've had a few desyncs so I haven't finished the Prologue yet, but I aim to do so in the next few days. Though, I found something weird when I ran through the Goombella's Abilities tutorial on a certain frame: Goomther the Goomba starts walking away, then turns around and exits the screen walking backwards! I have no idea why this happens. I get this result when I play my movie from power-on, so it's not a savestate issue. I'm planning to include this in my movie, since I have to wait for the moving platform in Rogueport Sewers anyway and I find this occurrence entertaining. I really wonder, though, why the game's programming allows this Goomba to do this on certain frames the cutscene starts on. If anyone has any idea why this occurs, I would appreciate you letting me know. EDIT: I'm thinking this is an emulation glitch with 3.0-191. Professor Frankly did the same thing in Rogueport Sewers in my 191 movie, and I haven't been able to replicate either of these turning-around animations on 3.0-305.

The HR-H (Shiver Star boss) battle desynced both times I played the movie file (with all the right plugins), and in the same spot both times: Kirby fights the boss' first form, then when its second form (HR-E) appears, Kirby runs off of the stage and falls to his death. Please take note of this before continuing your run, as it is easiest to fix now. The rest of it was really good though, especially the Factory.

I read that, but I mean an explanation of why it happens, not how

What was added in DX? Red coins?
Red coins, You Vs. Boo, printable posters, a calendar, and I've heard The Lost Levels is unlockable (don't quote me on that). In the main game, though, you can switch between Mario and Luigi (controls are the same for both), skip level transitions, and save your progress anytime by pausing the game. I agree with everyone else that this is way too similar to the obsoleted NES warpless run. Voting No.

Tasvideos for life, honestly.
I definitely agree. Visiting this site and watching TASes in general makes up about 75% of my Internet usage, and I like it that way. Everything about tool-assisted speedrunning is so interesting that I wouldn't spend so much of my online time visiting any other site. I'm definitely looking forward to completing the several N64/GC/GBA runs I have planned, in 2012 and beyond!

I agree with this.
I also think that should be the publication screenshot. It's pretty much perfect.
