Super Mario 64 "16 stars" in 54:30.33 I die a lot, but never manage to get a Game Over, despite staying at 0 lives for a good part of the run. I am way out of practice on the emulator, and again, I play better on console. I tried over and over to get the Shoot into the Wild Blue star the way I do on console, but I just wasted a bunch of time/lives. I am also WAY better at the Endless Stairs BLJ on console, but not as good at the final Bowser fight (or maybe I was just lucky). Anyway, enjoy! Super Mario 64 "16 stars" in 45:02.28 This run is almost nine and a half minutes faster than the first one. It uses a new route and doesn't die as much. I am REALLY bad at step BLJs today; sorry about that. Also, I accidentally select "Save & Quit" once instead of "Save & Continue". At least the rest of the run is really great. Enjoy!

Wow, an improvement! I would immediately vote Yes, but I have to "Vote after watching".

OK, then. Thanks for translating, feos. Good luck on the new run, khv-user!

It's too bad we don't have a Russian forum he can post in. I guess we could always have a Russian TASer translate his posts. Well, wicked has verified that he could have skipped a part of the game. Maybe he can fix the movie file and make another submission (and cancel this one).

This game is nice and challenging in realtime. I want to see how a TAS would beat Mega Man (last stage, I can't beat him).

According to Google Translate, he's saying he was ahead of the Nicovideo run but missed a warp, so his run is slower.

This looks to be ~2 minutes slower than this run.
I'm assuming it has the same goals? I guess I'll vote No then.

This is a nice fast TAS of a classic adventure game I haven't played. I liked the screen scroll abuse and the codes you entered in the Time Buster. Voting Yes.

Finally, a submission of this game! I'll wait for feos' HD encode.

This was entertaining and a BIG improvement over the published movie. Yes vote! And I like the third and fourth screenshots.

Thanks for providing an encode and level by level comments. I finally watched the whole thing, and it is really amazing! It's hard to pick a favorite level, but I liked all the glitches and skips, especially tongueing the key through the wall in 6-6. Technical quality and entertainment level are both really high. I haven't played this game, but I am surprised how many enemies in Paper Mario are from this game. Also, I like the first screenshot with the sprite overload, but I think the Potted Ghost screenshot would be great for publication. Yes vote!

This run looks very optimized, but the deaths break the flow of the run and drop entertainment value. I think the Marco run should be published instead. No vote.

Yes, it's finally published! Why doesn't the publication include the branch "0 star"? Isn't that what makes it distinguishable from 1, 16, and 120 star runs?

Steve Jobs could not survive the disappointment of seeing Rockin Kats in the Dream Team Contest.
Why would Steve Jobs have even heard of TASVideos? Anyway, a few days ago, I learned from a documentary about PIXAR's history that Steve financially supported the company while it was having money problems, allowing it to survive and become a hugely successful company. I respect Steve even more now. I'm sure John Lasseter and everyone at Pixar will miss him too.

If it's easier for you, Microstorage allows uploading .pjm files. I haven't played this game, but I've watched the YouTube video(s?) and it's obvious you're working hard on this. Nice job so far!

Wow. I heard he had stepped down as CEO, but I didn't know why. I guess he was sick a long time.

Bunker looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing how much time you end up saving over the published run.

I only wish you had done something fancy-looking during waiting times in 4-3. Standing around doing nothing takes away entertainment for me.
I have to disagree. It really surprised me when he just stopped in the middle of a speed-oriented run, as I didn't know you needed to run to cross that gap. And when I saw he was waiting for the koopas to walk on air, I realized it was a brilliant solution to running and jumping on the mushroom platform.

I'm probably not the first one to notice, but it's just hilariously ironic that the game end entices the player to push the B button.
Wow, I didn't notice that! That's pretty funny.

I found this version more entertaining than the other submission. I agree with X2poet that death doesn't look good in a Metal Slug TAS. Yes vote.

Disclaimer: I have not yet watched this run. I think that having one walkathon on the site is enough - the current warped run can be seen to largely be a subset of this run. Since this apparently improves on several of the levels that are identical in both runs, I think that if this run is accepted, it should obsolete the current walkathon.
That seems sensible, and I may consider that. I'd like to know everyone else's opinions.
I think it should obsolete the published walkathon run. This run has more content and new glitches, and like boct1584 said, moves at a slow enough pace to take everything in.

Yeah, I used to have that problem too. The one you need is V1.0 and it's kind of hard to find.
