The bits of the game that are done (all of it), whilst a little repetitive and uninspired, are done pretty efficiently and precisely, and I don't see why the run shouldn't be published so that fans of the game can watch it; it's not like we're likely to get a better run of the same game any time soon (unless it gets frame-warred).
Most of the people who voted No (including me) did so because it's a bad game choice, not because it's suboptimal. For that reason, it probably won't be published.

Looks great! I like the new improvements and the new music making for entertainment. Yes vote!

I agree. This is much better than the last one and looks more TAS-like. You can tell it was done with frame precision. A much stronger Yes vote!

Sounds great! I'm looking forward to the new, faster WIP.

Then I guess it's up to the author and he can decide what's best for the Movie Statistics.

Well, feos added 88000 as the rerecord count for his Battletoads & Double Dragon run, since he made the whole movie in TAS Edit and he didn't want to mess up the statistics.

I didn't realize the player rank changed in real-time. I thought it was locked in somehow. It makes sense now; I guess that part isn't an error.

OK, thanks. I appreciate it.

I just refreshed a topic I was looking at two hours ago and noticed that my Player (73) had changed to a Player (61). My profile page claims that I have 60.6 player points and have participated in 2 teams (it should be just one). Here's what it looks like now: What's going on here?

What should he do, add a random number? I think some people will be skeptical of how optimal the run is if there are no rerecords (especially because this is his first submission).

I like that run, and it looks like done with TAS Edit due to zero rerecords.
Wow, I didn't notice that. link_7777, if you have an idea of how many rerecords you used for the run, you would probably want to add that to the fm2 before submitting.

I think it's really well done technically and is pretty entertaining too, especially once you pick up the Force Powers. I'm interested in reading the submission text once you submit it.

Well, since the space station that video mentioned crashed in Australia, if the falling satellite was anywhere near that space station was, it probably would crash in Australia too.
You're aware the Earth and satellites rotate at different relative speeds, right?
Oh, right. I forgot about that.

Yes, it's 197 frames faster at the point NitroGenesis left off (pressing Start to skip the penguin's text). Looks pretty good. In Grand Central Station and the last level, you seem to bump into walls while you're jumping. Does that slow you down?

OK, I'm going with Yes. This run is very good technically (I'm surprised there are SMB-style walljumps in this game) and it's short enough to still be entertaining.

OK, so this game is terrible and slow-paced, and a bad game choice for a TAS since even if this is optimized, it looks like normal play. NO vote.

I just found out about TASes a year and a half ago, but it started for me in mid-2010 with YouTube videos of Super Smash Bros. (one of my first games on an emulator) and a 16 star run of Super Mario 64 (hadn't played the game yet). Eventually I watched some of webnations' videos, looked at speedruns.net and this site, and eventually started coming here every day (as I still do). I started lurking in August 2010 and didn't see the need to register until I realized I wanted to contribute something, and signed up in November 2010. I never thought I would have the time or skill to make a TAS, but when I read Groudon177's suggestion of Legend of the Lost Spatula in the GBx forum, I was instantly motivated to make my first TAS.

Here's mine. I don't currently have much except my own encodes of my Legend of the Lost Spatula runs (submitted with my TASes so people can watch and vote immediately) and some SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom stuff for my TAS. Eventually, I'll post WIPs of the two GameCube games I'm working on there, when I'm done with my other projects.

Oh man, I've stayed up all night before reading pages on TVTropes. They just have to put all the interesting pages in links on the page you're looking at without explaining at all, so you follow the link again and again. I don't hate it, though. That site's taught me the terminology for video game tropes like American Kirby is Hardcore and Insurmountable Waist Height Fence. I don't get YouTube's recommendations list though. I get all sorts of weird videos that have nothing to do with TASes. The program that chooses them must have many flaws.

Yeah, a computer (with TAS emulators and plenty of ROMs) and some kind of generator to keep it powered for a long period of time.

I'm not sure what to vote. I'm told this game is very popular, but I'm not sure this movie is quite so entertaining, plus the sprites look pretty bad. I'll abstain from voting.
