Brilliant new glitches and awesome shortcuts! This may even win N64 TAS and TAS of the Year! I never visited the Majora's Mask topic because I wanted to be surprised, and I was! Thank you for explaining the glitches and route in detail in the submission text. Obvious yes vote and recommending this gets a star when it's published.

I made some screenshots, they are not that good imo but maybe you like a few of them: http://www.4shared.com/file/L7uQgO63/Majoras_Mask_Screenshots.html
I like 0087, but for publication, I would suggest either 0205 or 0218.

I can't get this to work. Is there a chance someone could make an encode, even if there's no sound?

Good job! It looks better than the currently published run (probably because it's faster). Yes vote.

Very very nice run! This is an obvious Yes vote. I also read all of the submission text as I watched the run, and the whole text was very informative and helpful in understanding the run (and funny).

Voting yes on technical quality only because as far as entertainment goes this is about as awful as a well-optimized run could ever get. :)

This is TASing at its purest, with absolutely no entertainment value and precise input optimization; I vote yes.

A definite yes vote, though. The video is boring as all get-out, yet this bot is bare-bones TAS-ing at its finest.
I really hope you are all joking. If the run's so boring you can't stand it, there's no place for it on this site (the site aims to publish ENTERTAINING videos).

I liked the new route and noticeable improvements. I also enjoyed the glasses glitch and your explanation in the submission notes of how everything was set up to make the glitch work. Yes vote.

My point was that, unlike SMB1, this game's music (and sound effects) are terrible, as I said in the first submission's forum. Bad music decreases entertainment value, which is part of why I rated this submission so low for entertainment. I also think Bible Adventures is a bad game choice because TASes of it are not entertaining.

Hell, if you add in a couple pipes to go down, it's basically SMB1.
Except SMB1 has good music and sound effects which AREN'T annoying. No vote AGAIN.

"Amazing" would be a good one. It didn't look very fast to me, but I guess it is, since it's WR.

I might as well wait for an encode before voting No again for bad game choice.

I know games like Chrono Trigger, Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, and Super Metroid can be completed faster by resetting the game during saving (save corruption), but why can't this strategy be extended to other games that save information, like Zelda or Kirby games or even Super Mario 64 ("Save and Continue")? (I've never tried using save corruption and I don't think I'd be good at it, but my question is for those who know more about it than me.)

All right then. I guess I'll go with no memory card, since I don't need to save anything and it would be easier for others to view my movie. Thanks for the help, everyone!

OK, thank you for explaining that. I don't think I'll be using those buttons as analog, but I'll keep that in mind about their degree of depression.

According to my system, my graphics card drivers are up to date, so I guess my graphics card doesn't support the new shader versions. I will just use Toad King's r7591M, since after the four error messages, a movie I have from r7573 syncs perfectly and my game runs fine after that. Quick question about the L and R shoulder buttons, though: How are they used as analog sticks? I've always understood them as digital buttons and didn't realize they have analog functions.

With any option, there wouldn't be any reason I should have to distribute the memory card I have on my computer, so since anyone can format their own memory card as soon as they start up the emulator, then reopen Dolphin and play the movie, that shouldn't compromise the movie's integrity. I don't think I would be using a brand new memory card, as formatting it would take too much time. One minor problem I would have with using no memory card is that if I work very hard on this TAS and it gets published, then someone might use a formatted card, save 1 frame, and obsolete my movie. But I suppose that's pretty unlikely.

It works fine with OpenGL, but I usually don't use that graphics backend because it doesn't render some textures correctly. Is your version okay to use to make a TAS then? Or is the input window not done? I found that on your r7591M, that same error window pops up 4 times before the game starts, but on the regular r7591, the same error pops up 5 times and then the game doesn't run. I'm not sure why it's that way either.

I would put in the author's comments that the run uses an empty, formatted memory card. If I started the run with an unformatted memory card, it would have to be formatted during the run, which would waste time.

Thanks Toad King! The input window works great! I have a question though. When I use r7590 and later, I get a "CreatePixelShaderFromByteCode failed at Src\D3DShader.cpp 84" error. After the error goes away, games still run in 7591M (the version of Dolphin you included), but in the r7591 on the Dolphin website, games don't continue running after the error. Do I have to download something to continue using the latest Dolphin version?

Weirdly, no one had posted any comments at all in the Dolphin forum since I created this topic.

I would probably not risk a one-frame gain at this point as there's not really any set precedent for Dolphin-run TASes. The rule with other games with memory cards generally has been conservative; best to assume the worst here as well, I think. Realistically I doubt you would get a run turned down over something like this but I'd be cautious anyway.
You're saying I should go with no memory card?

This looks so much better than the currently published one (probably because it's more optimized). I'm also glad this one has an HD encode with normal volume. Voting Yes.

Wow! Very nice! About half of the movie was spent going through menus, but the whole TAS looks extremely optimized. Voting Yes.
