It's good you posted this in case it was new, but unfortunately it's been known for a while that you can stomp and reuse P-Switches. A variant of it was used in the original "game end glitch" run by pressing it and then having Yoshi eat it immediately to use the same switch over and over indefinitely.

Good job, Odongdong! It was nice to see every level optimized so well. I also enjoyed seeing the new tricks like launching from the branches in Woods and skipping the robot section, which both caught me by surprise. Overall, it was a fun watch. Yes vote!

I still get the same result in the Wii Internet Browser, though I'm not sure if the result I get counts as failure.

Haha, oh wow, I don't know what to say to that. I guess I'm flattered?

All of these browsers are the latest versions as of this post: Firefox 28 x86: OK Internet Explorer 11 x86: OK Android Chrome 34.0.1847.114: OK Android Firefox 28.0.1: OK Wii Internet (Opera) 9.30: Prompts for a username and password with a dialog box with "nach.nachsoftware.org:80" at the top. Providing the correct credentials causes the browser to correctly display the frame; canceling the box leads to a page with "HTTP 401" text. The second link you provided (nach.nachsoftware.org) works just fine though.

You're welcome, guys.

You could also link the full text, because that's what Radix actually approved of publishing and because I put a tiny bit of effort into it after all.
Thanks for the information and the more complete document! And don't worry, I'll copy the full text to the interview page. None of your work will go to waste.

Guys, keep expressing your opinions, whether positive of negative! It lets me know it's getting read. I might direct Radix to read them as well if that's called-for.
I thought it was cool how his opinion changed of TASes over ten years, and I found it interesting that AGDQ 2014 allowed him to see console-verified runs again for the first time since he saw Morimoto's run (another way we succeeded in reaching out to people through that event). And I'm glad he doesn't mind us now; a lot of us like him and love SDA and speedruns.

It's a comparison video. His TAS is in the top-left, what is apparently the fastest real-time speedrun is in the top-right, and batora's original 1:28:49 TAS is in the bottom-left. Man, how far we've come since that run came out. I remember thinking batora's run was pretty well optimized 3 and a half years ago.

Haha, clever. You know, all those polls about polls I just voted on and I never thought to try clicking on the text. I must have tried it a year ago and found it didn't work, so it was automatic not to try it again. Thanks for changing that though. It's a smart improvement, and makes it easier to vote on things.

I'll do it. I have a couple of questions though: Is there a way to incorporate Svimmer's comments into the interview page, or should I only transcribe the questions and answers, to keep the format used by the other interview write-ups we have? And do you know which medium this was conducted over? Some of the other interviews note that the interview "was conducted by e-mail". EDIT: Never mind, I just left out Svimmer's asides and any mention of medium. The page has been created here: Wiki: Interviews/Radix/TASVideosDoc

Oh, I wasn't complaining. I apologize if I came across that way. Take all the time you need working out the issues.

To clarify, the problem was that sack_bot accidentally removed the [/video] tag when quoting the post with the embedded video, causing the text that followed to not be read as text and thus appear blank. By the way, since I'm here, I want to thank whoever fixed the bug that was preventing the TTYD run from showing up in my and Malleoz's (and probably Masterjun's) published movies lists. I was going to ask about a fix for that when I had time, but now I don't have to worry about it.

Congratulations on beating the WR fastlap, and glad you're discovering some helpful strategies already! Whenever you're ready to start the run, I'm looking forward to your progress.

Am I right in assuming you don't need quite that many?
If I understand what he wrote in the video description, only 50 were needed to get into the warp pipe and the rest were "for the sake of convenience" or to enable getting the red coin under the stairs as well. He also noted that each of those necessary 50 depended "on previous goombas in order to be placed at a greater distance".

Spikestuff, thank you for explaining what needed to be changed. I've updated the movie description with an explanation of the glitch and what function the Esc key serves. Let me know if it needs to be expanded on any further. Also, thank you Scepheo for your input, without which it would have been harder to explain the in-game function of the key.

Glad this is finally settled. And good work changing all those branches, feos! I also support the idea of movie flags and think that icon is perfect. That would go up next to the Vault/Moon/Star logo for each movie, right? Do the slower Takeshi no Chousenjou, Contra 3, Kirby's Adventure, Crash 2, and SML2 runs still need branch names now that you added something similar to "game end glitch" for each of their faster counterparts? If they don't, I can go ahead and remove them.

I don't think I'm in the majority, but I thought this was entertaining (and even moreso than the old run since it's faster). Some cleaner and more visually pleasing routes, and even a little close call there at the end. Yes vote.

Nice work. I'm glad you decided to go back and make sure it was optimized. Looking forward to faster versions of the next few levels!

Welcome to TASVideos, martandelus! It's nice to hear you're having fun playing around with TASing. I know you think you won't ever pass up the published run's time, but with enough practice, you might be able to hone your skills to the point where you can at least match that time, maybe even beat it.

Let me point this out. There had to be a description to point out what "no Esc" actually means. Yet neither this one or the one famously titled "no Esc" explains what the heck it does in the description.
Actually, when I added the branch name to the slower run – which was over 15 hours before you made this comment – I added this paragraph to the publication text:
This run avoids using glitches that require pressing the Escape key. There is also a run that uses these glitches to beat the game even faster.
If you think that should be expanded on, that's fine. But please don't claim there was nothing in either description explaining how the runs differ when there was.

Ah, okay. Thank you both for your input; "no Esc" it is. This also makes the slower run the first movie to have the tag "Forgoes a time-saving restart sequence".
