Thank you for pointing that out! The publication now has the correct category.

I was surprised to see Zook moving that fast, and it was nice to see all the little movement tricks that made that possible. I also wasn't expecting the music to get better in the later levels, so that was a nice surprise too. I was actually going to pause the video and read the level by level comments in the middle of the run, but I didn't want to stop watching it. So I have to say I was entertained. Yes vote! Regarding the branch name, this run was specifically done on a version of the game that didn't have everything unlocked, like EarthBound Zero with the breadcrumbs glitch. I think it would make the most sense to publish this run with the branch "no save glitch". And I really like the second screenshot.

I couldn't get this to sync on any of the three NTSC ROMs I tested (Dodge 'em (1980) (Atari), [a1], or one just called Dodge 'em.a26). This is the result I always get (from start to desync):

This is just crazy. I also like that the new glitch makes the game even more similar to (NES) Donkey Kong. Yes vote.

If you really want to recreate it faithfully, then you'll have to play with the RGB values most likely. It takes a lot more time to figure out, but it's definitely possible.
To make this process easier, you can always take a screenshot at each frame you want to find out the RGB values for, open the images in MS Paint, and use the eyedropper tool to find the exact values you need to use for your Atlas map. (I'm not sure if this is what AndyDick meant in the quote above, but it definitely saves a lot of time over guessing the values.)

This was a nice change of pace from the other SMW runs. Maybe I'll have to go Pro so I can see the rest of this.

It wouldn't be April Fool's Day at TASVideos without an Aqfaq Genesis submission. Awaiting encode.

Would this also count as any%? (rather than glitched or 11 exits)
The one and a half minute run is the any% run, as it completes the game as fast as possible with no restrictions. This category, however, has a restriction: 11 legitimate exits must be completed. I didn't find this run very entertaining. The novelty of what's being done with the arbitrary code is funny at first, but gets old quickly once you realize that the same thing's going to happen in every single level in the run. On top of that, this run wasn't optimized very well at all, which I think should lead to it being rejected instead of being accepted into the Vault. Voting No.

I think it looks good so far, though like jlun2 said, you may have to ask aleckermit how he did the police chase so you might be able to improve it. By the way, doesn't flying into the Dark Shadows kill them instantly? I thought I saw that in a Let's Play once.

Yep, Koops skip is another part of that saved time. The run is being done on Dolphin 4.0-926.

I thought it was pretty funny how you glitched out the last act. The fire even hit Sonic a few times but he didn't seem to care.

Extra late to the party, but what an amazing run. I couldn't believe the amount of damage that can be done abusing the Power/Mega Rush badges. The Fish glitch was especially awesome and I had to read the submission notes to even make sense of Chapters 5 & 6. Great job you guys.
Thanks VanillaCoke! Nice to see you again!

Especially since I normally rely on people like CoolKirby who have interesting and thorough non-biased comments on most submissions, and I couldn't get anything from him here :(
Wow, thank you for the compliment! I'm sorry I couldn't have commented on this one without being biased, but I should be able to make a helpful comment on Malleo's improvement run whenever it's finished and submitted.

It's a tradition here on April 1st (April Fool's Day). They're all intended to be funny though, not to annoy people like actual troll submissions.

Nice improvement, Dooty! I also enjoyed the ways you entertained the audience without wasting time. Also, way to barely sub 5:30! Yes vote!

This could actually make it into the Vault if it was completed. Though I suppose that was the intention before you ran out of time.

The game is available here as freeware, on what appears to be the main site. The problem is that the current version available there is v1.25, and I wasn't able to find v1.18 anywhere or sync the run on v1.25. Since the game is freeware, I think it would be appropriate to ask the author to upload the v1.18 game exe somewhere so others could play back the run.

This one seemed a lot less optimized than the any% run you submitted, and the rerecord count appears to support that. I think you should take the time to improve this run wherever you can and then submit when you can't improve it any more.

This looks like a pretty cool game, and I found the run to have enough action to keep it entertaining for the duration of its (short) length. Yes vote.

Very nice run, seems optimized. Some smart improvements over FractalFusion's run too. Way to go!

We are aware of the hex-unfriendlyness, the issue is that recording full keyboard, full mouse, full gamepads etc for each frame gives you a movie that is several kilobytes per frame. We decided this had to happen, a custom editor may have to be written.
Maybe you could have a certain character, like *, at the start of each frame so the input for any one frame could be told apart from another (so *UpSpace*LeftSpace*UpAsterisk would be understood as three different frames). Then all the custom editor would have to do is make a new line at each * and number the lines, and the frame data could be easily edited.

I agree with mklip2001. I didn't enjoy this quite as much as the Robert L. run, but I still found it entertaining. Wherever this gets published, my vote is Yes.

DarkKobold, now that you mention it, GTA IV has quite a few missions where it seems like it would be so easy to just shoot the driver from a standing position and clear the mission right away, but the shots never do them any damage. Essentially, it forces you to wreck their cars in order to pass the mission. I agree, I would call that unfair.
