I heard that Democracy is disabled because the streamer decided to disable it at this point of the game.
I suppose that makes sense. My source is someone from the Twitch chat, whom others thanked, so I figured that person was reliable. It seems like the chat isn't going to get anywhere without Democracy though.

That's awesome, thanks!

This actually reminds me of watching a desynced TAS play back. Very interesting experiment. Edit: They've been stuck in Mt. Silver (a dark cave) for at least an hour and a half (Democracy mode is disabled because of a bunch of troll bots voting against the participants), but they managed to level KT and teach it Outrage, so that's good.

In the Record Movie dialog, clicking the folder icon and then typing a name for the movie and clicking Save will return to the Record Movie dialog with the File field blank (as in, it doesn't return the string you typed as the file name).

1: i need some kind of help with that stupid pussy coloured fog that i have any way i can get rid of it?
The fog is part of the game, coded in to obscure the N64's low draw distance.

How would any of us be able to help you with that?

also if there is a subject already about superman64 then please forgive me :)
There isn't, but all you have to do is use Ctrl+F and search the 4 pages of the N64 subforum for your game name. It only takes a few seconds, and saves everyone a lot of hassle if a thread for the game already exists.

I enjoyed this one. I found it entertaining just how fast everyone was taken out. Yes vote!

I have to vote No on this. This submission's payload was already done in the Yellow Pi Day run, and it's just not as interesting or achieves the goal as fast as that movie. And like others have said, the length of time just to get to the payload hurts the entertainment value.

I'm still hoping for someone to make that "rickroll" version.
I would enjoy seeing that.

If you're recording your screen (with FRAPS) use LZO. If you're re-encoding a video stream that's already saved in an AVI, use GZIP. Since the Level box is grayed-out, it looks like it will only work when you select GZIP. If you do need to use GZIP and want to set the level, lower values (closer to 1) will encode faster but produce a bigger file, while higher values (closer to 9) will encode slower but produce a smaller file. It's up to you to decide how to balance those two things. Otherwise, leave it at 6.

This syncs on VBA 23.6 svn480 (the latest revision of that branch of VBA). Also, removed branch name. The fastest run of a game is always any%, so no branch name is needed. And whenever you finish and submit the other run, it will be published with the branch name "no design map glitch". Anyway, nice improvement. Voting Yes.

I found this entertaining and enjoyed the variety of shots, the long shots over bodies of water onto one small rock, and the distance of some of the backspins. Yes vote.

That Bomb demonstration was crazy. I didn't know it was possible to kill that many enemies in a single Kirby Melee.

Very nice job! I enjoyed seeing the short, interspersed parts where the glitch was being set up, like naming the boxes and catching a Bellsprout. The part with the actual arbitrary code execution was interesting to read about and amazing to watch. Yes vote!

Should the note in the movie description about obsoleting the in-bounds run still be there? This run doesn't directly obsolete the "in bounds" run, but said run was on the site for over 4.5 years before it was obsoleted, so it's possible that some people who missed the last publication might wonder where the "in bounds" movie went.

Wow, there really are a lot of similarities between this game and SMB3. The run looked good though, fast and entertaining, even during autoscrolling sections. Yes vote!

It's a codec you can choose from the list (like Full Frames (Uncompressed), Microsoft Video 1, Lagarith, etc.), and it lets you dump from A/V sync Dolphin builds and have the encode actually split successfully at 2 GB. Should save a lot of time from having to work around the old 2 GB split issue.

The Newbie Corner was also the wrong place to post this. Something like this belongs in the BizHawk subforum. Did you try the two glide64 video plugins? If I remember correctly, those should have greater compatibility with games. You can also browse the options of those plugins to see if there are any specific fixes for the games you're trying out (I think I remember seeing one for Perfect Dark).

That's awesome! Thank you! I'll have to try it out next time I need to encode from Dolphin.

It's worth a try, right? If it doesn't work, you can always publish with the existing A/V sync build from the submission text (and leave the Punies unfixed). Exciting that this is finally getting published though!
