That's true, but until it gets obsoleted by a faster newgame+ run or by a new any% run (with approval by the judge of said new run), we can't do anything with that movie right now.

I don't mean to demotivate you, but I don't think you have that ability unless you're a Vested Editor (or higher). You can try asking to be made one and explaining that you would like to be the "Notable improvement" flag setter. By the way, I totally agree with you on the SM64DS movie. I was thinking when it was first published that an improvement of that size should be recognized somehow; glad we can do that with the lightning icon now. EDIT: No one objected after 2+ days, so I changed it.

I don't think publications can be removed. At least, it's never been done before. Did you mean change the branch name?

Right.......I totally forgot about that. How about something like "all worlds" then? Though I guess that sounds kind of misleading.

Okay, thanks for sharing that, zaphod77, and for the second opinion, Radiant. It has been fixed.

Good points, I agree. Thanks for all your input. I've added the flag so the icon should appear next to the movie's star icon now.

I have the problem you mentioned where read threads will keep their "new posts" icon until the "Mark whole forum read" button is pressed, and clearing just the tasvideos.org cookies one time and then logging back in fixes the problem. If it fixes that, I would assume it would fix the other forum problems you're having. Does clearing the cookies work for you?

Is it just called "Replay"? I'm thinking of calling it "Replay Mode" so it doesn't confuse viewers (since all of our movies are replays). Does that sound okay?

That sounds just fine to me. Thanks for getting everyone's opinion so quickly. I've slightly modified it to "11 exits" so it fits in with the other runs with similar titles (like SMW "96 exits"). Okay, so how about Carl Sagan's Yoshi's Island run? How should we name that one's branch to cover all known large skips? Would "no glitched warps" work?

Maybe consulting SMW TASers would have been a better idea
We did. We tried asking Masterjun about it in this topic that he created to discuss the SMW and YI branch names. He didn't help.

Which of these sounds best to you? Branch names aren't permanent; they can always be changed. If you have a suggestion that solves the situation we've been trying to solve for weeks now, then please post it here so I can fix the SMW and YI branch names for you.

The problem with something like "less glitched" is that it's too arbitrary. That's why a run's branch name specifies the glitch(es) or type of glitch(es) avoided, to make it perfectly clear what makes it different from the any% run.

Issues with the current version of BizHawk (1.5.3) should be posted here. If it's a problem with the emulator itself, then most likely, everyone should be able to reproduce the error themselves.

The publication text says "This movie sets a new record by beating the previous movie by 22.68 seconds". Does that make this movie worthy of the "Notable improvement" flag?

Good point. And thanks for the second opinion! I'll change that movie and its predecessors now.

If you just need to host the binaries, Sappharad volunteered to host them for you above. Otherwise, there's always Dropbox (like you said) and MediaFire (where Dolphin builds used to be stored). MediaFire is also free and reliable (I've been using it for 5+ years now for general personal storage, including *.exe files).

I always solve that problem by clearing the cookies for tasvideos.org. This should also fix any issues with displaying members' avatars.

My needs changed now, so I'm listening to real English all day long, practicing those tricky vowel sounds and how to connect them. So, I must thank CoolKirby for offering to read the commentary for me, but this is one of those things that a TASer should do himself, I think.
Well, all right. Good luck!

Uh...okay. Then I support Sappharad's suggestion of GitHub.

I'm thinking of either going with "no executing OAM data (or maybe sprite data) as code" or giving up and going with "no null sprite spit, no stun glitch". What do you think?

You could also try SourceForge (where openMSX is hosted). Apparently they have a fast and easy Google Code importer that can move the entire project right over.

I love this. It had me laughing at walking and jumping around out of bounds and whatever move that was that brought down the final boss. Yes vote for both its technical quality and because it was entertaining.

Well...the problem with that is that the purpose of Gruefood Delight is to showcase movies that were submitted but not published for various reasons. It's a good idea, but it would need its own page to separate it from the movies that haven't ever been published. Something like "Obsoleted Delight", maybe?

That would be a good thing to post in the thread about movies that should be removed from obsoletion chains.

Aside from that, what's an OAM?
The any% run's submission text defines it as "a chunk of memory that stores the data about the sprite tiles to draw onto screen". According to Patashu, both any% SMW runs execute this data as code, and that sets them apart from the ~10 minute run (and its predecessors). Should I rename the longer run "no executing OAM data as code" or something similar? I'm thinking of just giving up and calling it "no null sprite spit, no stun glitch", similar to the longer Yoshi's Island run.
