Thanks for your positive comment, AngerFist. I for one intend to continue working on GameCube games, though I'm not sure about Luigi's Mansion (I don't even know the difference between the two control schemes, let alone more important aspects of the game).

Also, you get Koops when you get your other three partners back after Chapter 4 (once Doopliss is defeated for good), so the only thing stopping this new trick from totally skipping Koops (for the first half of the run) is getting the key under the log in early Chapter 4.

That was a big improvement, even if it was just because of using the secret ending. I think I was entertained enough for such a short time, so I'm voting Yes.

After asking for permission, someone who viewed the YouTube encode uploaded it in parts to Nicovideo for us! Here's a playlist of all the parts. So if anyone couldn't view the main video for some reason, maybe this one will work for you.

Thank you FractalFusion! That spells it out for me in a very clear way. I'll start fixing the runs that aren't marked correctly.

Nach, I think there's less forward and backward camera movement in this game than the first Paper Mario, so this should actually be easier for you to watch than a run of that one.

Oh if no-one could tell I hit No. Even though it claims for entertainment.
I think it makes sense to vote No if it's so suboptimal that it wasn't entertaining at all. No vote from me too.

I think it's a little too early to make up your mind on that.

Thanks for your input. So "best" can mean "better" as long as a run gets the best (not necessarily secret) ending?

I second Lord Tom for the very large amount of optimization he put into his impressive F-Zero X runs.

Post subject: "Best ending" tag for movies of games with only 2 endings

It seems there is some inconsistency with runs of games with only two endings that are tagged with "Best ending" and those that are not. How should we go about tagging these runs? Should all the ones that currently have the tag lose it, or can it be thought of as "better ending" and applied to all of the runs on the site that get the "good ending" over the "bad ending"?
