Thanks for the encode with the RAM values overlaid, Spikestuff. Nice run, gbreeze! And nice improvements. Voting Yes.

Hey turska, I think you forgot to set the intended tier for this run (though it's looking like it'll go to The Vault).

She sounds like a very special friend, WST. And a great artist too, that's a really good self-portrait.

I don't know the game, but it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot going on in that screenshot. It's mostly empty space. Also, when you post images, please try to post them small enough so that they don't stretch out the page horizontally for anyone who has a smaller than 1080p screen.

The Flavio trick sounds funny but from how you've described it, it's far from being a TAS-only trick, in fact it doesn't require reflexes at all, let alone superhuman ones. People who want to see this can do it easily for themselves by playing TTYD.
You're right, as long as you can pull off the Fish Glitch (which isn't hard to do), it doesn't require any skill at all to talk to Flavio and have him join you.

Here's the highlights from the 100% run
Thanks, though I already posted three of those links. Like I said, we already decided that we're not getting him in this run. We're going for fastest time, and the run will be plenty entertaining without him anyway.

I think your English is better than you think it is. Also, here's an encode: Link to video

I love the idea of having R.O.B. hold the PCB like he's the one playing the game. I think this is probably the best way to present the bot. Great job making everything work out so we can console verify runs at AGDQ!

My bad, it wasn't a sidequest. I'll elaborate. Our route sails to Keelhaul Key and gets Bobbery as a partner and then leaves through the blue pipe, which we opened up with the Fish Glitch right before leaving Rogueport. But before leaving Keelhaul Key through the blue pipe, you can take a small detour (which takes about half a minute) to go to the main area of the Key to talk to Flavio about helping open the way to the Pirate's Grotto. At the end of this series of speech bubbles, Flavio joins your party "for a short time!". However, the game programmers never expected you to leave the island with Flavio in your party, so you can freely take him with you through the pipe and throughout the rest of the game. Among the "hilarious results" are Flavio being randomly pasted on the screen in certain cutscenes, following Peach and Bowser, and falling through the credits at the end.

Sorry about that. We've been debating getting Flavio: If you talk to Flavio midway through Chapter 5, he'll come with you on a sidequest. If you continue the main game instead of completing the sidequest, he will follow you for the entire game, with hilarious results. But we ended up deciding to go for fastest time instead, since getting Flavio takes about an extra half minute. The 100% WR for the game (13:02:56 by Almolicious) collects Flavio, so if a 100% TAS is ever made, I think it should collect him as well (since 100% won't be nearly as interesting as any%). Anyway, we've finished the first part of Keelhaul Key.

This looks like a pretty good run, though I didn't find it entertaining, so I'm voting No. Does the game lag differently whether you shoot the aliens or not?

I don't know why it wasn't put in the Vault during the initial dividing of movies into tiers, but with its current goals and branch name, it can't be moved to the Vault now.

We discussed that earlier in this thread. Pocket Monsters Green is considered a different game than Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow, so that movie and the Yellow one can both remain published as any% runs.

Btw. does that apply to tasvideos or nesvideos+tasvideos?
It applies to nesvideos+TASVideos. The site has only had this name (and domain name) for a little over 7 years according to the Wiki: SiteHistory. It's great that this site has been around 10 years! I feel like there'll be even more runners and runs over the next 10 (this site is always growing in popularity).

Nice run! I have a question though. In the stage where you're carrying rocks around (stage 10), why do you seemingly go out of your way at 8:40 in the encode to get another rock from the right in order to progress instead of just using the rock you're already holding?

I see. Well, you could always restart later if you want to. You wouldn't want to lose motivation before finishing the run once.

Looking forward to it! Just make sure you at least mostly optimize it though. You can be fast, but be accurate too.

I think he means the part of the run that played as Sonic in order to unlock Tails.

Impressive run! Like some others here, I didn't enjoy this as much as the Sonic's Story run, but nonetheless I found it very entertaining. Voting Yes! Oh, and I also nominate the screenshot of Tails walking away from the explosions.
