I think this is the wrong place to request a new run of a different category. I want to echo hero of the day and say great description to those who worked on it.

I'm out of it today, but I hope this post helps some: 1) I'm not aware of a Facebook or Google+ profile for TASVideos, but there is an official YouTube channel that uploads encodes of all the records on the site (that each have their own comment sections), and RSS feeds for submissions as well as publications. I'm not sure if you were aware of these, but they provide a good announcement system for new runs already. 2) The IRC channel at #tasvideos is where people talk about TASes all the time. Also, like the RSS feeds, new submissions and publications are announced there. Regarding watching runs, links to WIPs and movie files can be posted in the chat too. 3) One of the main problems with paying people to TAS (from what I understand) is that usually only the TASer knows how optimized it is. A monetary reward for finishing a run will result in the runner doing low quality work or even hiding lots of possible optimizations within a run just to get the money quickly. 4) While that seems like a good idea at first, it doesn't fit the goal of the site to provide record times of runs that have been at least mostly optimized. If you want to make an unoptimized run, you can always upload it to YouTube. Otherwise, if you want to make the effort to optimize it, you can do so and then submit the result to the site.

I thought this was entertaining, and looked technically well done. Yes vote. Good job, N?K!

If Java is running but doesn't open the application, it's probably a problem with Java and you should reinstall it. Also, you posted this in the wrong place. JPC-rr related threads should be posted here.

Voting No because the run is clearly suboptimal. You will want to study the currently published runs to get an idea of how to save a lot more time from your run.

I never would've expected Nintendo (of America) to do this. I thought they didn't care about livestreams or anything like that because they understand it's free advertising for them.

This is the current SDA thread for this game. You'll probably want to post it there.

What seriously terrible voice acting. The run was cool though; I liked the lightfoot running and infinite jump glitch. I'll give it a Yes vote.

I used to watch this show! Never played the game though (I avoided licensed games as a kid). Good run, Qwerty. I liked the fast-paced platforming sections, though there was nothing entertaining about the frequent minigames. I didn't find the run as a whole very interesting, but I think it deserves to be published in the Vault. No vote. Also, I agree with PCachu about this game's quality. There's even lag in the credits...

Way to go, Tee-N-Tee! This is a great improvement. I really liked the new skips too. Yes vote, for sure.

I love it. I laughed out loud when I saw the garbled credits. I don't think it's wrong to vote Yes, since I haven't seen this yet...? Anyway, thanks for including sections for our comments. I think I'll put some in myself.

I agree with Warepire. I hadn't seen this game before, and after the first 3 minutes of the run, I thought it would be pretty unentertaining. However, the run looked well optimized (really nice to see for a GC TAS) and was pretty fun to watch. I'm voting Yes, great job SoulCal!

Great work, MESHUGGAH! And thank you for crediting all of us for helping optimize this run. I'll cancel this submission before I go to bed tonight so yours can replace it a few hours later.

Shh, he didn't notice that Kirby submission also uses heavy memory corruption.
If this helps anything, he was okay with that one, but only if it was published in its own category (and obsoleted the existing "glitched" run).

Wow, that was beautiful! Way to save 6 more frames! How likely is it that the credits can be skipped to just by turning to stone, and not having to manipulate the crash 13 frames later? If we can't get it to happen, it might always be a possible improvement.

There was like 4 instances of pointing the wiimote past the left side of the screen on one frame, and then past the right side on the next frame. Any less would have resulted in crashing into alligators/rocks/shurikans/spiders. I don't think that could be done by a human.
At what hour minute of the video this happens?
3:23, 15:48, 21:51, 36:45, 37:52, 37:56, 37:57, 38:24, 41:34, and 41:36.

Thanks RachelB! I hadn't heard of the old header reader, but using your new one, I was able to verify that all of the useful information I put into my movie file was readable. I noticed there's a space for "audioEmulator" information though. I couldn't find where the space for this is on the DTM page, so I was wondering if it's supposed to fill in one of the Reserved bytes, or if my movie file is just too old (made from my 3.0-508 "CoolKirby" revision you made for me :) ) to contain a space for this info?

I don't suppose a byte could be added to the dtm format where an author can manually input the frame number, and the submission module could be altered to just read that? Anyway, I'm really glad you decided to submit this, SoulCal. I'll watch it sometime soon.

*hugs Spikestuff back* Thanks for listing all the authors, by the way. That'll help in the final submission. Good luck on your efforts, MESHUGGAH!
