I couldn't watch the whole thing because of that music. It's surprising how much better the other one is despite its slow cursor movement. These two dev teams should've gotten together, like the Crowbar Collective did, to make the perfect Angry Birds NES port!

Looks like the site parser read this as a GB game instead of GBC, wonder why? Also I liked that the video title had English and Spanish flipped. "One" for "Juego Niño Color"

Hammerin' Harry is back! I remember NitroGenesis' run of this so long ago. I liked the dancing around you did for entertainment, I don't think you could've done any better with it. The new hover was surprising, and gameplay was fast of course. Yes vote!

Like Spikestuff, I enjoyed Date A Live (S1) but I don't know if I'd recommend it to others. It's a mostly light and playful anime about romancing girls from space and teaching them about the joys of Earth like waterparks, ice cream, and first-kisses. It's really cute and made me nostalgic for my own childhood. I'd say it doesn't take itself too seriously, kind of like One Punch Man. Oh, and definitely watch One Punch Man, that one I can recommend. SAO:A's 2nd season is half finished, they're taking a break and more episodes will release sometime in April July now because of the pandemic. If you don't like cliffhanger endings, you might want to pause after finishing S1 so you can watch the whole S2 nonstop. (EDIT 2021: All S2 episodes have aired now.)

This list also comes from NetflixANZ which confirms that it's everywhere except again, Japan, US and Canada.
While I live in the US and feel like we're being excluded, at least Ghibli brings their movies back to theaters here every year. I think it's the best way to appreciate the detailed animation in their movies, though they can be more expensive than most movie tickets. I also found a list of "healing" anime that are supposed to be relaxing and have little to no conflict. I will likely be watching some of these in the near future. Edit: I forgot to mention the Kirby anime! I watched the Japanese sub version online as a teenager and much prefer it over 4Kids' English dub. It takes place in a reality separate from the games, where Kirby is still a baby, but becomes a mighty warrior on inhaling certain enemies. Described by the director as a "life drama", it includes different characters from the games and Dedede as the self-declared ruler who regularly threatens the safety of everyone on the planet. Good for kids too, maybe ages 7 and up. Also just skip the episode "Birth? Kirby's Younger Brother" / "Kirby's Pet Peeve". It's really sad for no reason and the events in it are never mentioned again anyway. Kirby gets a dog and the dog dies, that's it.

Though you finished your run already, I thought I would answer your questions anyway as it should help you improve your future TASes: 1. In Super Mario Bros., a frame rule occurs to allow the game to stop and load the next level. In your example, since over a minute has passed since your input change at frame 2882 and you're in the middle of another level at 7381, it's unlikely the game would enforce a frame rule there. You would have noticed if you encountered strange delays elsewhere that erased your progress up to an oddly specific frame. Instead, I think you ran into what's called a lag frame. Lag happens when a game can't keep up with what's happening. They usually show up in BizHawk as a red number in the top-left corner, like at frame 262 when the game is booting up, or they can be totally missed by BizHawk and appear white like normal frames. In either case, no input presses will be read on that frame, as the game is lagging behind and needs a lag frame to catch up. Reducing lag can be as simple as reducing the amount of actions the game needs to "think" about. For example, maybe moving the shape both Down and Right is too much for the game to process right now for whatever reason. You might be able to move Down, then Right on the second frame, and still move the same distance as if you'd pressed Down+Right, then nothing on the second frame. Keep trying ways to change up the input without wasting time. If you just can't get past that lag frame, try the more advanced strategy described in MESHUGGAH's comments here. That's right, you might avoid lag frames by going slower. This is because if you waste 1 regular frame where you could've been moving the Hexcite shape, you might save 2 lag frames later. 1 - 2 = -1, so your turn has finished 1 frame faster. This TASing technique took me a few years to grasp, so I can try to explain it better for you if you need it. 2&3. Sometimes, a game processes fewer actions than it expects to on a frame, leaving it open for more actions on the next frame, so you can input the work of 3 frames in only 2. It's like the reverse of lag, and you should take advantage of it whenever you can. For example, in the N64 game Blues Brothers 2000, I can press A on the first police officer's textbox a couple frames earlier than for all other textboxes, and I have no idea why. But a frame saved is a frame earned, so take advantage of weird things like that to make your run even shorter! I hope this helped. Also, if you're looking for another GB puzzle game to TAS, you could improve this run of Daedalian Opus!

From what I understand, since anyone can freely release a game for DOS, Windows, Linux, C64, or other computer systems, these are considered open platforms, and runs of games on these systems should not get the "Unofficial game" tag. But shouldn't fangames that use IPs from, but aren't licensed by, say, Nintendo or Hasbro always have the "Unofficial game" tag? It looks like this was already done for these fangames for Aliens and Castlevania. And since these are open platforms, shouldn't ZXS Space Monsters have its tag removed? It's a homebrew created in 2019 with no unofficial licensed content.

Don't really know why its Moon tier honestly.
This was only recently submitted, judged and accepted to Moons. I would give it more time, it's only been on the site 9 days and has 4.5 votes so far. Seeing as it's of a game in a popular series, it should receive more votes before long.

Nice-looking port of the arcade game, and you really tore through those bosses. Basically nonstop action; I found it thoroughly entertaining. Yes vote!

I didn't find it very entertaining, so I'm voting No, but I did watch the whole thing. I'm happy you finished a TAS of this game anyway. Any interest in doing Mario is Missing! as well? There's an SDA run for it that maps out a solid speedrun route.

I was hoping someone had tried this one out! Your run was really funny, you wrecked those pigs. I think it could hold its entertainment value through at least the first world. If you ever come back to this, newer Dolphins might have fixed the desyncs (or a much older one might not have any).

Should the publication have the "Forgoes time-saving glitches" tag as it avoids using the aforementioned Pause Glitch?

Thanks for the co-author credit on this, Alyosha! Another small, unintuitive improvement to end the game that much faster! And the game looks better now with the accuracy improvements you made to A2600Hawk.

Thanks for the GitHub tutorial feos! I successfully set my mood avatars up on there. Hopefully that site will stay up a lot longer than Photobucket.

I'm still seeing the original Photobucket images on that page, they haven't turned into the large "Please Upgrade" images for me. Should they be replaced anyway?

Thanks for the list, creaothceann. Wow, looking through the full list is like looking through my e-mail spam. Here are some that may affect users on this site: nicozon.net (Nicovideo viewer), Crunchyroll, gogoanime.com, Pastebin, Uber, Fitbit, Minecraftforum.net, Bitcoin, Teespring (GDQs?), Discord, Uservoice, Bungie, blip.tv, puu.sh, rghost.ru, MobyGames (game info for publications, no ROMs)

Finally, there are possibly a few minutes left in the schedule for "one more thing"; I'd prefer to stick to N64 content since that's the replay device I'm bringing, any thoughts on what to show?
With the short amount of time you mentioned, I would recommend either of the F-Zero X or Super Smash Bros. runs. There's also Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and THPS2. It's a shame there aren't many N64 runs that could fit that timeframe, but you're welcome to play my Daikatana WIP; it might be hard to sync on console, but you have my permission anyway.

This TAS is a love letter to the members of this site, technically impressive and wholly different from the ACE runs made for GDQ audiences. And I love it back. Enjoyed your thorough submission text too. Yes vote!

I could never get into this game (it's not for me), but I've been looking forward to a good TAS for a while. This was even better than I expected. Echoing the "Well done" for RingRush, Isotarge and Cronikeys!

While I missed the sound effects, the run was still plenty entertaining, and now it's much faster too. Voting Yes. Could you have saved time by turning the sound effects off as soon as you got control of Crash (before the gate clip), instead of after the clip? Also, Lapogne36 wrote this about Tiny's boss fight, could you do this after Level 6 too (by turning SFX back on later), or is there no cutscene after that level?:
Submission #5368 wrote:
When exiting the level, a cutscene starts (because SFX is on), and by stopping it at a specific frame, the game will not do the animations it is suppose to do (throwing Crash out of the vortex, the same thing will be done after N.Tropy). As an important side effect, Crash will not do the crystal animation he is supposed to do 25 times, saving more than one minute.

That was funny! You will need to keep the entertainment level consistently high though - a run of another broken NES Jeopardy! was rejected for failing to entertain (though I liked it).

It will depend on the console's screen resolution and the game's HUD, as you want them to be out of the way of the gameplay but not too far to where they will divert the viewer's attention or be hard to look at. I've used 0,420 (X,Y) for an N64 testrun and 0,480 for an SMS run. Those subs were only viewable in 2x window size or greater but they were well-positioned for the games they accompanied.
