Oh and... I did random Cave Story fanart. Don't ask me why Quote's face is like he's taking shit.
Pretty good for a rough colored pencil sketch. I like Quote's face, actually. Looks epic. What's on his head though? A Santa hat?

I was thoroughly entertained. The run had a nice pace, perfect for the game. The glitches were all funny and it was nice to see the game get broken so badly. Yes vote!

Hm, I can't find one either. For this game, you should be fine as long as it says (U) after it, just as long as it doesn't have one of those annoying hacked intros (don't use (U)(Mode7)).

Like Patashu said, try Google searching the name of your game along with "[!]" and you should find some good dumps.

Hi and welcome to the site! 1. If you found the ROM online, the filename would have contained a [!], something like "LEGO - Bionicle - Matoran Adventures [!].gba". 2. You don't want to use a BIOS at all. There's no reason to wait for the GBA logo to be able to start your run, and I've heard it makes the run non-deterministic (which is bad). 3. There isn't currently a "reverse frame advance" feature. Savestates work quite well for this purpose though. If you will want to return to frame 600 later, TAS until frame 650 and then load the state and you will be back at frame 600. 4. It's best if your run starts from power-on if you don't need existing save data.

Actually, I'm about to hit the blue switches to enter Hooktail Castle. Now that I'm finally on winter break, I can continue this run.

It was actually just ThatGugaWhoPlay, remember? Fortunately, "Ay" is still a word, so it still works without it.

Looks like a cool game. I would like to see a run of this too.

Oh, I see. I think the problem is that people don't read the new question and notice that it's asking if the movie is entertaining or not, and not whether or not the movie should be published.

I'm failing to see how this has gotten any more entertaining a game than the first run.
It's a lot more optimal now, and just the speed of it makes it more entertaining than the original submission.

but it's still the same terrible game now as it was when the run was a few frames longer.
That's why it's being published to the Vault. Game choice doesn't matter anymore. Voting No. Definitely publish as an improvement though.

I have a good challenge I thought of while messing around in Super Mario Bros. 3 today: Enter 7-Fortress-1 and collect as many coins (from the P-switched blocks) as you can before time runs out (don't defeat Boom-Boom). I did this on my NES just to get a bunch of lives (at the expense of a Super Leaf) and got around 1600 coins (16 lives). I know more coins can be collected in that time, but I think it would be cool to see a big competition start up with creative ways for grabbing more and more coins. Here's a non-TAS example, done on FCEUX 2.1.5, getting 1632 coins.

Ever since the start of Fusion, Samus has had something that specifically makes her immune to X. I see no reason why it wouldn't work on something/one entirely different that also happens to be called X.
This is the best post in this thread. I didn't even think of that.

One of them is a robot, so I'm thinking no.

He's a humanoid robot. Samus is a human though.

Nice run. I like the skipped cutscenes and the pace, given the genre. It's funny to see certain characters (like Rose) in flat GBA graphics stand out against the pre-rendered backgrounds. I have to go with Meh for entertainment though. Thanks for providing that encode, too. I also second Dacicus' screenshot suggestion.

Great run! Despite this being fairly repetitive, I was still entertained (though I did skip though the loading times in the encode). Yes vote.

Everytime I see this game and hear it’s sounds, I wonder why it’s called „Super Mario” and not „Escape from nuthouse”. But I vote „yes”, since the number of rerecords is even crazier than those sounds.

Try Photobucket. That works perfectly for me. You don't even have to upload them all at once. Then use the "direct link" URL for one of them, but replace the number with $ in your Profile settings, and you have your mood avatars!

Woo, sub 20! Good job. I liked the comparison encode, with the split audio. That was pretty cool. Not very entertaining, so Meh vote, but publish to the Vault!
