I'm just going to assume you're using 1993 version because he used 1994. Heck that is the case, I just got it to sync.
Wow! I didn't guess there are different versions of this game. It isn't a patch, is it? Wait! This game was released in 1994 for Gen. Looks like I'm playing beta.

Probably everyone knows about Tom and Jerry regardless of age. It was one of not many games I used to play on my friend's hardware when his mother allowed me to borrow it for a day before I bought my own Mega Drive. Despite the fact that I have never passed the second level and have never opened the settings to decrease the difficulty, I had only good felling about it! Of course, the only possible genre of this game is a platformer. Lots of enemies try to kill you and you have the timer on each level. You run through levels, keep away from enemies and collect fish/cheese to restore your health (it's not score). Collecting food doesn't affect the time, so AndyD was wrong about keeping away from it. I have done a WIP of first 2 levels. User movie #19021574039808974 Everything is OK with starting input and with 2nd level? Any improves or known glitches? Thanks! AndyD's submission; desyncs on the 1st level, so I can't compare it to my TAS!

I was fooling around with Cheatengine when I found something interesting; the Speedhack can be set to around 0.3 or so on the game you're running, then you can record the video with something like PlayClaw. When played back, the video automatically goes to normal speed! The only tiny thing is the audio won't catch up, so you'll have to put some music over that or something. Here are the fruits of my labor in Minecraft: http://youtu.be/FBlm5lJS2fo
This trick with Cheat Engine probably knows everyone, but audio smashes up. I hate watching speedruns with the music instead of real audio. By the way, 0,25-0,3 is the most confortable speed because there are situations when the game doesn't read you input if you don't hold it for some more time than needed.

That was cool though I don't understand the point of this game. Like Survival mod in Doom or Max Payne 2 :-) Yes vote

All elevators, excepting one I've spawned and the lift that moves to the last hostage, start moving from the beginning of the level. I think that's why the game is lagging at times.

I'm a huge fan of the Bond series, so I loved seeing 007 in a platformer for once. If the game misses something, it would be more gadgets, those would have made it much more bond-ish. The TAS seems to be well done, even if it continues the record of the most edits by Spikestuff. The only part I didn't like was level 3, you should have been more creative there during the waiting times (silly every-other-frame movement, dancing around to the music). But despite that, it still gets a yes vote from me!
Dancing was not a good idea because Bond does his actions for about 7 frames and music is sounding quickly. I just won't got in rhythm.

In this movie someone used only 1 player instead of 2 :)
... because 2nd player causes lag frames. Especially when there are more than 5 objects on the screen :-)

Someone was talking about using Test Frameworks to do tool-assistance on Android emulators, but it's not a good idea.... or become stale. Thread #14648: using test frameworks to TAS Android games? Looks like, the only thing we need is implement all important TAS tools. Who can? n_n

Obviously none of then have tas tools or are open source (maybe the android one is), but it's not really impossible to run these using hourglass?
Let's hope that Hourglass-Resurrection will change our unTASable Virtual Box and we'll TAS any game we want :-)

In my TAS priority it will be the 5th game then. James Bond 007 is almost done (mission 4 and final boss remaining); Rambo 3 is also going to be TASed faster as I know my problem with enemy spawns; both ports of Tom and Jerry are short and easy.

I'm almost sure that spawn happens behind the screen (some time before written belove screenshots), so my screenshots aren't accurate! My movie: 8589 - heavy lag wave, all enemies appeared + 2 behind the screen. First wave is OK. maTO's movie: 9680 - no lag wave, all enemies appeared.

What are the exact frames where the spawn does and does not occur, in those 2 movies? Also, do you have any RAM addresses?
I don't know! I stopped on different frames during 3rd mission and near the exit in 2nd, but spawns doesn't change; maTO's TAS editing doesn't help too, desyncs in the end of 3rd mission if there were any changes! I have 3 enemies + car at the 1st wave (no lag) and 7 enemies + car at the last wave (heavy lag), he has 6 enemies + car at the 1st wave (small lag) and 3 enemies + car at the last wave (no lag). RAM adresses I have: X position - 00FFC211 Y position - 00FFD015 Level 1 Helicopter HP - 00FFDA6F Gate HP - Level 1 / Level 3 (left gate) (3x60; 0 HP exists) - 00FFD3AF Note: Y position is based on the start point of the 1st level, but tells shit during all other parts of the game.

Looks like not many are interested in this game. Nevertheless, I decided to finish maTO's work though no-one helped me in my 3 previous topics, so let's hope I'm doing everything right! I got unexplainable thing with enemy spawns in 3rd mission. While TASing this game, I decided to check his time spent on 3rd mission and found that we have different enemy spawns on the way to 2 bridges next the hangar, double wall and exit. I decided to copy his input as I use the same ROM as he used, the result is the same! Then I editted my input of the previous mission and lost some frames near the exit, but the result is still the same! I wouldn't write about that if I had less lag frames because of that spawns, but now I got a "disimprove" because of that! How to manipulate RNG (if I understand correctly) to spawn less enemies? Here is my WIP which shows it! Note: I changed the input a little, because of different time of lag frames! To compare the spawns (and TASes, of course), watch the encode in his cancelled submission! Help me, please!

Em... strange game! I think I won't understand the plot even with English subs. It is strange that the developers have made a game with theme of stopping a cursed game from game overing the MH. Not entertaining even NES parts of the game. What's the point of left half of screen btw? Isn't it easier to play with a normal screen like in other games?

Rambo 3 is done in general! I've improved all parts of maTO's run, but I need to crossbreed some parts in 2 gens movies (.gmv) into one, because there are unbeatable parts and I have "disimproves" there. How to do this easily? Is it possible to do this with TAS Movie Editor?
You'd be able to "splice" them together with TAS Movie Editor, but your RNG might turn out different. It's worth a shot, though.
Let's experiment :-)
