Three comments: 1) I remember playing this ages ago, and there was a glitch where you could make the car at the end fly away. By fly away, I meant that sometimes the little guy would hop in his car, speed to the side of the screen, turn around, and float up a ways. I have no idea how this was done, but if anybody knows maybe it could make the movie a bit more entertaining :) 2) What exactly *does* it say on the car at the end? And why is it mirrored when the car turns around? Oh, Nintendo. 3) I think it's already been said, but the game definitely doesn't end. I vaguely recall finding a Game Genie code ages ago to start on any level, and I set it to level 99 or some crazy thing. The thugs eventually just hose you down with machinegun-like fire the second you're within range. It's disturbing!

Nice work making a difficult game look really easy! I had fun watching this and think it definitely deserves to be published, if not just so that people who actually own the game can see what it's like past the first level :)

Looking good! My only advice would be to give levels three and four a cursory playthrough so you can make sure you have enough lives to spare for them, but I'm sure you already have :) Stylewise, I liked the little hop you did about a second into the movie where you jump before reaching the elevator. I thought that the movie was out of sync when you first made that jump, since I was almost positive that would kill you. If it's possible for you to work some more obvious near deaths like that into the movie, I think it'd be really entertaining for those of us who know how unforgiving the game is.

I've never actually gotten very far in Spelunker since it's so amazingly difficult and frustrating, but I had fun watching your movie just to see the game explored. I think that games like Spelunker are actually among the most fun to see TAS'd -- games that most people give up on due to their being so incredibly difficult or frustrating. Maybe other people who've played Spelunker and given up on it will enjoy seeing the game explored and completed. I know I would, so I hope you'll complete the run! :) Oh! I don't have much to say about the run technically since I don't know much about speedrunning, but I did like the way you bopped back and forth between the little brown gas-vents or whatever it is they're called while you were waiting for the steam to dissipate.

Wow, that's an awful game. I'm impressed that you managed to put up with it long enough to make the timeattack! I have to say that I thought the movie was kind of boring from all of the menus you had to go through and the lack of really exploitable glitches, but I did enjoy seeing what the final boss was like and the game actually beaten. If I could vote, I'd probably vote either a "meh" or a "no" because of the game's slow pace and uninteresting gameplay, but that's more a fault of the game itself than your run.

Wow, great run! The constant sliding really made the game seem fast after viewing the Mega Man 1 and 2 runs, and I loved all of the glitches you used. Parts I particularly enjoyed: * Your sliding and warping around on the spinning top platforms in the Top Man stage. * The way you almost instantly defeated Proto Man each time. * Your clever use of the Rush Jet, especially where it seemed like you were only using him to avoid the frames lost through a weaponswap. The zipping with him in the Gemini Man redux stage was neat to see too :) * Tons of little glitches, such as your jumping right after you defeat Robo-Air Man and your fake-deaths caused by falling and hitting a spike at the same time. * The complete destruction of the final two bosses. Keep up the great work, I look forwards to viewing more of your runs!

I just wanted to post to say that I enjoyed both runs, especially the cheating one. There was something neat about seeing Mario run around in a Hammer Bros. suit in the first and second worlds, even though it's not exactly kosher. My favorite parts were in Giant World, where Genisto threw the giant turtle shells into everything... that was totally unexpected :) Keep up the great work, I look forwards to viewing the completed run!
