Wow you guys really still play all those old games? I still play Counter-Strike 1.6 every now and then but I've really been playing alot of Gunz (Gunz: The Duel or Gunz Online...same game) on ijji.com. Not technically a FPS because its third person but it has lots of shooting. I like Gunz because it is BROKE...almost any animation can be canceled leading to lots of different play styles and unpredicatability from your opponents. Also its nice to have a sword to fall back on instead of hiding to reload. Its a great game and I don't think I should have told you guys because now you're all going to kill me :-( ps: does this sound too much like a short essay ???

I am of the opinion that the true Final Boss will make this run worth it.
I share this opinion. Also, Upthorn's 100% Knuckles run is my favorite run by far on this site. But thats just because this is truly my favorite console game ever.

WOOO! Go Upthorn! I haven't seen the finished(polished up) run yet, but I've kept up with the WIPs and I really hope this gets published as in my opinion they were flawless! I'd vote myself but I can't!

http://maven.smith.edu/~thiebaut/ArtOfAssembly/artofasm.html This book is too long to read. But it looks like it covers everything...I really have no idea, I've only managed to read the forward.

Those aren't links. But don't fix it, because the board doesn't allow links to roms, or rom sites.
LoL Upthorn. I made no attempt to link roms, I was referring to the WIP gmv links. But I can see how you might have been confused.

Just tested and movie plays back on: Sonic and Knuckles Sonic 3 (JUE) [b1] and Sonic and Knuckles Sonic 3 (W) [!]. Make sure you don't right click and save as on those links, you have to follow the link to get to the download page and right click and save the link there. edit: and by link I mean the movie links. sorry for any confusion. just tryin to keep my post short and to the point. as i read it, noone was asking for rom links, just what rom it plays on, so i listed 2 i tested and pointed out a problem some people have downloading the gmvs from microstorage.

I'm not sure, but from what I've tried, it seems glide speed is determined by how close during or after the peak of the jump you begin the glide, the key to getting a slow straight glide is to hit it at the very peak of a jump and that's what I had to do in order to not lose altitude. Like if you wait until after the peak of the jump you move much faster but you fall faster as well. Also a big part of beating that boss like that is canceling the glides momentum, if you just glide into it you get bounced back to the other side of the room, also don't push right too early after cancelling the glide or you'll miss the second hit because of too much momentum and bounching just barely too far. So in summary, I don't really know if spindash speed transfers to glide speed at all, so it could probably be done with a short spindash. But its probably not any faster to do so. If anyone has any clearer info about the whole glide thing, I'd like to read it. edit: spelling(anyfaster isn't a word) edit2: good point below

But...Super Knuckles can do this and save 3 timeunits. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2185/MG1boss.gmv Sorry I can't put the savestate on microstorage and I have no hosts so you'll have to fastforward. edit* to upthorn: also, maybe a full spindash is not necessary, but I just saved after you spin dashed and tacked this on your gmv.

In HC2, you can get through the 2nd blue slide that you go down at about 1:10, with out stopping. If you need an example you can view http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2070/S3kknuckles.gmv, but you have some unoptimized crap to fastforward through. Its pretty simple anyways, just jump and hold left and when you get close to the slide glide for a frame and you'll go right through it. I'm not really sure if its faster but it eliminates a stop and a spin dash so it might be. offtopic: maybe I should name my files better... edit: thanks Idea

In response to Sinryuu's Shutterair, I just did this by starting from your file after megaman escapes the boss room. Made it all the way to the end and managed to hit airman once, but the boss didn't show up and Airman is still attacking me. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/594/rockman2-airshutter-Dustin.fcm
