Well, I personally love this game and would find 100% run awesome. But then again, I owned this game and played it endlessly so I'm not the most neutral person to say if this was entertaining in general.

Just to mention, Ubuntu repositories now has a packet called 'gfceu' which gives us a simple graphical frontend for fceu, you can't do much with it though, basically just to configure joystick and start the game you want.

About the "competing who encodes what" -issue, why not just create a standard intropart without mentioning who encoded it, besides that it's encoded by tasvideos.org? Sure it can be a small text on a corner of the intro, but not necessarily as visible as it is at the moment. I'm not sure if I personally want that, but I thought I'd throw in an idea.

Very nice, enjoyed a lot. The part where you skipped ropes was awesome. Thank you for this movie! Edit. Ok I saw there will be more glitches and new version being under its way, nice!

Oh, I'm glad to see there's some activity with this game. I had completely forgotten about this topic right here.

Take Super Metroid, one of the best games all time and give it to JXQ and the result is this. Just fantastic.

Oh my, what a cute game! Also love the main music theme. The run is also smooth, unfortunately bosses get killed too fast to get known to them, I really should try this game by myself for fun. Nice work.

I asked for version .15. 16 is working already fine. But thank you anyway. Oh and v15 works now from the faq-page. (the host is different now, nobody mentioned though..)

Filespace goes down now and then, it will probably be back up sometime soon. But the post you quoted is no longer applicable; that source is available enough now.
The source seems to be linked to savefile.com and it still just says 'ERROR: File not found'. I don't quite get this thing small files are being uploaded to unstable sources. Ok I might understand that webspace might not be free, but they could be uploaded temporarily to lets say, Bisqwit's website. I can also do the favor.

Out of question. I can barely make a hello world. :) But I agree with you with the fact that the one who gives us a GUI for FCEU will be our friend. :)

Yeah that's what I thought here. I'm also wondering if somebody has addedd a GUI for a linux port.. but I guess not. Maybe I just get used to that.

It seems that all of the links given to FCEU 0.98.16 are dead... Maybe it should go somewhere more permanent and be linked to from Emulator Homepages.
Source for .15 seems to be dead also. Just my luck, I really need it.

By the way, is there a version of FCEU with GUI at all for Linux? How about these movie supporting releases by nesvideos crew? I remember I searched for a while and found only command-line version(s).

There is some place else that requires Shades?

Before I watch this I have to mention about the submission text. It looks very messy. Just a side note really.

It's lovely to see how you made the before two of most boring battles with elecman and megaman clone very stylish this time. That's the type of details in tool-assisted runs that I just love to see. Here it was executed fantastically. It's such a shame that many players tend to forget the main thing: the more boring something will look, the more important it is to make it look exciting, one way or another.

Ok folks. from now on. Take all the entertainment out of movies and just go for speed. Make all the movies 1 frame faster. they should be accepted right schneelocke? "its faster!"
Was this less entertaining than Phil's run? If no, then I should ask: was this faster than Phils run? That's a yes. A faster movie without decreasing entertainment value and you don't want to publish it?

I think you have misunderstood, there is no US version of Ufouria, only PAL. And the original JP version which goes by the name Hebereke.

Funny, I managed to make the jump with FCEU having Pal Emulation. Am I mistaken or did I just make it? I don't have movie though yet. Edit: I don't know how I actually made it. Now when recording movie after short testing perioid I don't seem able to make it just like that. But I'm guessing it matters that on what pixel you land on the ground, because when accelerating, Bop-Louie goes more than 1 pixel per frame. Anyway, it's possible. Edit2: Ok, I managed to do it again. Here's a movie of it: http://dz.daug.net/stuff/ufouria-e-gapjump.fcm

Damn, that sucks. I guess you have tried extensively to get over the jump by any means imaginable. By the way, how does it actually help to run the game too fast as with Famtasia to get over the gap? Some kind of a bug?

I don't really know why there isn't any activity in this thread, maybe people just doesn't know what's actually wrong but anyway Grillo, did you ever get it to work?
