This version of CT is probably the best one for a almost glitchless run.

Most of the glitches in SNES and PSX versions are gone so the run is automatically glitchless for most of the time.
The arena duplication glitch seems hard to be manipulated and will break the pace of the run without necessarily saving much time(over the scale of five hours). It won't be used.
This run aims at defeating Dream Devourer, which can't be fought until all three Dimensional Vortexes are completed. The vortexes won't appear until Lavos is defeated and won't be reachable until the team gets Epoch after the Ocean Palace incident. Therefore, the first half of the run will be generally following [450] SNES Chrono Trigger by hero of the day in 4:21:11.83 with routine improvements from [2339] SNES Chrono Trigger "completionist" by Saturn in 5:44:58.18 and [2592] SNES Chrono Trigger by keylie in 2:17:08.86.
Grinding is inevitable in a glitchless CT run. I decide to do all the Lost Santrum sidequests to power up the team before facing Lavos. This might not be the fastest way, but it should be much more entertaining than fighting the same enemies for about 20 minutes. Again, this can be considered a speed-entertainment tradeoff over the scale of 5 hours and will showoff most of the new contents of the DS version.
There aren't much going on in this WIP. It's purpose is to show the differences between the systems of SNES version and DS version.
Notes:
1.The auto-run and text boost from CC is in CTDS. Talking to the woman next to the fountain is faster than talk to the merchant.
2.Candy cutscene skip still works.
3.As you can see in the first battle, Crono can't avoid the attack from the last Imp under the game speed of 1. However, entering and quitting the menu take a long time so it's probably not worthy to switch the game speed too often.

The person on Nicovideo finished the run. This run collects Mastermune and saves kid from coma in the end so it's not a strict any% run, more like Bisqwit's run.
The total amount of frames is 1452572, about 6 hours and 43 minutes. The TAS on Nicovideo from 2012 uses in-game time as record so it's hard to compare.

Is the screenshot from a console or an emulator? Suddenly felt amazed to see those boxes at the right position after getting used to the graphical errors in Yabuse.

Thanks guys.
I tried to make an avi dump of the whole (unfinished) run with LUA GUI, but the video is always divided into parts. Are there any ways to prevent the dump from being divided?
I might make a CV2 100% run (yeah, just like the resolution to my failed CT:Flames of Eternity run) that collects all non-expendable items based on this route in the future.

Oh, great! I can't get on West Bridge!
Anyone knows the reason? My guess is that the game checks if you have all the items in the first line, which includes the red orb, which I skipped.
I guess this project is legitly wasted, just like my first one.

I'm sure this is not always the case. Yoshi can get a few stars with Mario hat without rescuing him first. The Wario hat on the dragon's head in the 6th level spawns before he is rescued as well.
There is no reason to put a check for Mario hat in Bowser fights because there is no legit way to get to him without Mario at the first place. I might be wrong though.

All the star doors that check Mario's presence are skipped in the newest run. Is it possible to beat the game with Yoshi alone? Or only Mario is able to make the rabbits in corresponding locations appear?

I roughly timed the length of each route. My route without laurel is actually not slower than the route with laurel from the test-run.
The true problem is that beating Carmilla with golden knifes is about 18 seconds slower than beating her with Morning Star. This disadvantage itself is probably enough to undo most other advantages of this route. I really hope most of the 20 more seconds my run takes is caused by Bizhawk's better accuracy, but this is probably not the case.
I'll finish the last part of the game regardless since I've gone too far to leave it like this. Hopefully this run can be used for comparison in the future.

Bad news. Although a little more than 1 minutes faster than the test-run, my run is 20 seconds slower than the published run by the entrance of Bodley Mansion. I don't think there are significant lag timing differences between FCEU and Bizhawk. Maybe I should try the route with laurels instead of my route, or maybe this route is screwed since the beginning?
There are some new discoveries as well. I encountered two abnormalities:
1. around 1:20, a skeleton is skilled before his HP becomes zero;
2. around 2:50, a temporary invisible platform appears above the skeleton.
I don't know why, but they happened. It's good to record them here even if they don't seem to be too useful.

This is a very good question. I didn't think about this before I did the glitch!
Though now I'm sure that section of the staircase is the only one able to trigger the glitch because it moves the camera both vertically and horizontally. That's also the reason why Simon needs to go up the stairs a little bit every 7 or 8 rounds since the initial section eventually loses the ability to move the camera horizontally.
My version is about 20 seconds faster than the test-run even if the time spent to buy the oak stake is not counted in the test-run. The test-run should be faster than zggzdydp's run because the latter backtracked a lot to buy the oak stake, but I decide to leave the oak stake purchase to the next mansion so there is no backtracking.
