I think it'll have regular subtitles too, right? It's great to see the movie in a (close to?) finished form!

Er, well, I thought it was excellent! Is that good enough? Also, wow, that's a pretty long ending for a GBA game. 13 minutes or so?

Are y'all still planning to keep in the commentary? That really set the short demo run apart from a lot of movies. I hope you are!

First off, the run is great - incredible to see a seven minute improvement on this already super fast run, considering the game in question! It was awesome to see the discovery of the ShadowBlade thing and then see that it turned out to be useful! Also - I think that commentary would be excellent, I really hope Janus gets involved with it so we can hear his thoughts on how he made the run while we're watching the game. I wonder if Let's Play style commentary will catch on (meaning, more humorous style) or if it will be more documentary style? Either way, any time commentary can be added, it should be, in my opinion! I hope more runs get commentary in general and I think having one this long with commentary would be a great way to encourage more people to comment on their own runs. Man, that was a long paragraph, but I think it's a really good idea. (EDIT) And I agree with Dromiceius - in my opinion (mostly formed from watching Something Awful's Let's Plays), in a longer video, you definitely want 2 commentators. It makes it a lot easier to come up with stuff to say, it seems like!

For what it's worth, I think the run is incredible and should be published as it is. However, I'm just a lurker, I suppose. If DarkKobold (or someone else) wants to go back and run it again on this other difficulty, they could, but it seems to me that this run is more than excellent enough for publication.

Ah, well, I appreciate the fast reply. The subtitles really made it extra entertaining for me, so I hope the re-rerun goes well for you guys. Can hardly wait to see the finished run!

Are you guys going to be submitting soon? It sounded like things were just about ready until that new special mode TAS was discovered.

As an observer, a lurker for a few years now, I think Xkeeper and Lex are right. Xkeeper's list of things seems accurate enough. Oh, or my all time "favorite" reason - "this game wasn't a good choice to TAS"! What. Well, gee, I bet the person who spent however many hours of their life on making it, no matter how technically sound that movie may be, will appreciate having it not seen by anyone for the worst reason possible. It really begs for a section of non-encoded movies or something for these supposedly poor choices... but perhaps I'm misinterpreting the argument in this topic. Ah well. I've made my statement...

Aw... I take it you're not a fan of Woolseyisms? =/
I like Woolsey, but this isn't Woolsey. This is like a Woosley with no comic timing and a mean sense of humour who likes the sound of their own words too much. Nearly every single line of text drags like an angry cat over hot coals. And personality? What personality? :( I know, rant rant rant rant. This is one of my favourite games though, and I was hoping the retranslation might at least be not-horrible, especially after playing the Mother 3 one. /offtopic
Hey now, I think Ryusui's translation was well done. BoF2's original translation was hilariously bad, but not good hilarious like Symphony of the Night! Maybe we should take this to off-topic or private messages, because I think normally I'd share your views, if you thought it was too literal of a translation. Mother 3... now that's about the best fan translation you're gonna get, along with the recently completed Policenauts. Both of those had people who have jobs in the gaming or professional anime translation industries working on them! In fact, I'd say those are at the level of what a professional translation would have been. To the task at hand... keep going Janus, you're doing great! I can't wait to see some of the later fights! (EDIT) ...bah, I can't think of any in particular except Barubary. And he's not that tough normally.
