Where do I find a setting that does a piece check after finishing the download? This way I don't have my movie interrupted partway and have to go back and check manually. It seems to be aggravated more when small movies use large (>= 256 KiB) block sizes. Movies should dynamically allocate block size based on the length of the movie, frame size and the encoding used (standard vs. 10-bit 4:4:4). This reduces the chance of a crippling hash check failure, at the expense of more blocks.

I was watching a run of Megaman Battle Network 2 and right in the middle, the movie got cut off, so I went into my torrents and forced a re-check on the file, and it said there were bad pieces in it. Would someone explain why some of the people that use our torrents are giving out bad data? Not that it matters, but if a seeder sends up ANY piece that fails hashcheck the client bans it automatically. You might as well check your torrents now and see if you have incomplete files or if your client banned anyone. Follow-up Examination It appears to affect the archive.org web seeder. Files may have been slightly altered, or linked to a different source format or material. This appears to affect only 10-bit 4:4:4 movies.

If you have AT&T, Comcast, Cablevision, Verizon, or Time Warner Cable ... tough noogies. These ISPs are imposing six-strikes anti-piracy rules, so with that being said, if you're downloading something large from here, it could be counted as potentially copyright-infringing content and you could have your download capped, or worse... You could lose access to the site! http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323978104578334272714999326.html

New publications didn't immediately appear in my RSS feed, which means I missed new publications, starting with movie #2269.

I suppose you didn't expect to see me around these parts again, but I have a bit of a problem with a Google Chrome extension and the RSS feeds on this site, especially "publications.rss" Even though I have set it to follow the feed I still don't see any updates! What am I doing wrong here? Is the link being depreciated in favor of the "Combined" feed?

Yeah, you remembered what happened with our last Smash Bros. effort. They classified it as a "playround", not a speed run. Voted meh. I think the Author could do better, especially Underground Maze. and 15v1 Kirbys. Some of the gameplay almost plagarized SuperDoodleMan's Action Replay movie.

You didn't bother including a readme file? What other parameters can be had for this command-line tool? Will it enable DHT on a torrent that initially doesn't have DHT set for it?

What kind of crap encoding uses more delta frames than keyframes or P-frames in this movie? Whatever it is, mplayer-hc x64 is dropping too many frames and skipping too much of this movie! Whatever algorithm you're using to cut down on size on non-animated portions of gameplay when encoding, make sure it registers luminace properly, because "dark" scenes will only make things worse!

"An issue has been identified with the encode involving the color quality. Whereas when an object should be displayed as blue, it shows up red instead, or vice-versa." Video was last encoded with YUV420 using the MP4 container format. The U ans V axes are swapped

This looks like a direct port, but on the Genesis version it has the copyright "TAD Corporation" written on it. What?

Where's all the regular RSS feeds for the site? All I see is combined.rss ... All I want is PubMov.rss or something.

Nintendo, Sony, Microsotf, Konami, Sega, and others are part of the "Entertainment Software Association". And this doesn't limit itself to video games. News programming is also being targeted, as well as classic TV shows and commercials, clips of movies that are being parodied and subbed/dubbed over (especially Downfall), music videos that users post on their own (YouTube and ContentID), and more often than not, streaming music over a stationary image. This bill would also forbid anyone reading a book or newsprint on an online stream. Complete list of supporters -- http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-s978/money

I'm having problems with uTorrent and my router. Furthermore, I can't even run the speed test because all it does is print "HTTP 404 Error" no matter which server I choose, and even if I do set port forwarding on any port, uTorrent still can't find my open port! Without port-forwarding I can't even seed to anyone out in the torrents.

Some of the movies may look disproportionately sized for DS movies. All future saves may either have to be twice as wide as it is tall or twice as tall as it is wide, but must take note the cell padding required to separate the two screens apart. When a user tries to play a movie in a twin monitor setup they may get errors, often the screen(s) where all the gameplay takes place will be off-center, if the user's display resolution is set in a widescreen resolution. I tried to play the Resident Evil DS movie and all I had to contend with was a green bar across the right side, and on the main display with all the gameplay, that screen was off-center to the left!

Well, is the Server connections from Clients being blocked? We definitely need to know what's going on up there! IIRC, there was an incident months ago with PeerBlock users that got the tracker blocked up until users can add it into the exceptions list. Another large unified theory is that the tracker software in use is very unstable and going into convulsions.

Synopsis: ReBoot, the game based on the TV show of the same name, allows you to take control of Bob, the Guardian of Mainframe, mending tears, battling bosses, and get a first-hand look at the origins of some of the bumbling characters of the show (Hack & Slash, for one). This game appears to pre-date events leading up to Season 1 of the show and has three endings; two of which the player can "revert" and try to replay the game. Link to video Sadly, it doesn't appear that the game isn't programmed all too well, and controls are pretty sloppy, which led to the wide criticism and failure of the game. But ... Will It TAS?

The other day I was seeding and I came across a peer that was downloading one of the files I had downloaded recently, and it was quite slow (less than 5 KB/sec)! Then I checked on his BitTorrent client version, and he was using a very old version of uTorrent. This may serve as a reminder, but if you wish to continue to receive faster seeding from other users in the swarm, UPDATE YOUR CLIENTS! It is extremely superficial that you receive the most secure, reliable, and up-to-date version available for your BitTorrent client. You may check for updates by using the menu interface.

Would it have helped for the game to end after receiving the maximum jackpot value (*e.g. "You Have Beaten The System")?

We're trying to review the assembly code of x264, but it may take us a while to figure out what's triggering the virus warnings in the VirusTotal report file. You may wish to follow our live discussion in the chat.

Uhh guys, I think we might have a slight problem here. I was trying to get Direct264 on my own computer, but Avast! Free Antivirus got a bit too touchy and, well... Recently I'm concerned, it could be the result of an infected x264.exe file. If this concerns the safety of some of our Windows-user encoders, this should be discussed. In the meantime, the warning probably should be raised over at sourceforge just for a good measure. x264 is a CLI program for video-compression; it doesn't intend to use the internet or modify the registry; it only will create (or modify) video files if you give it command-line arguments, but it does not modify or replace any Windows system files.

Why do I get this allusion in one segment that it's me standing on one end of the bar (the guy in the blue suit) and the guy at the opposite end of the bar is some random troll I used to know on the IRC chat?
