Mothrayas, thank you for the acceptance. I admit game choice could be better, but I'm proud of the work I put into it. EDIT: Stupid memory. I thought the guy who has to raise and care for 10 Yoshis on one screen has time to check this out :P

Yes, it could; however, from the time I was planning my route, I couldn't find a faster route where the fort could simply be surrounded. I encourage others to find one, though!

Noted, c-square. I had one prepared and posted in another thread, but I'm unsure how to embed vid.me videos.

Excuse me enabling fourscore. I usually have it on for casual play, for playing Spot the Video Game with friends :P . I actually have my own encode as well, but that one looks pretty good. There is only one way to avoid the fort-capturing sequence: conquering all states AROUND a fort. The fort-capturing sequence is forced if you land on an enemy-controlled state with a fort. The boat sequence happens every 4 months from month 5 onward if you enable the option (which I did).

I TASed this game a long time ago (and quickly got bested by MESHUGGAH :P ), but recently I started thinking of another category to run: conquer all states/territories/forts, and win the game. (Perhaps we could call it "conquer 'em all" or something, just not "total control" :P ). This, of course, would mean you have to plan your route carefully, especially because you have to initiate the final battle. I believe it could end up having interesting movies made from it. I made a movie below as an example. Movie Encode

Here is my WIP for the Max Points run. I got two levels done. There's one close call in this one And here is my own encode, for those that don't wanna download. Spikestuff, whoa. You were way more clever than me coming up with that :O . That's a nice run, I love it! Makes me wanna go back and improve the first level of my WIP.

By using a level select code on the game, I discovered that there is an "ending cutscene" to reach after level 32. It says "Act 4: The End", and what happens is Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man wave goodbye to you, and exit. Then, a few juniors move around randomly on the screen, and the game ends.

Finished a small movie of the first level in 2567 frames (or 42.71 seconds). Ms. Pac-Man disappears at the end lol Unless there's a different way I can optimize it through a change of route, I'd say that's pretty nice for a first run. How's this play style through all the level up until [when is the end of the game according to TASVideos standards? I say 9 because of the Junior cutscene, but I remember it being 32 levels long]?

Looks sweet. The thing I would criticise is your goal choice: with the bounce mechanic, I definitely think a run aiming for score would be more entertaining.
I got ya. That would be very cool to watch, especially with 2 players eating ghosts at once. Time to get to work on a demo of the first level like this. EDIT: I just started working on the demo, and so far, I've eaten almost all of the board (save for two corners of Power Pellets), and not one cherry has showed up. I'm sure it should have shown up by now, though. My hypothesis is that I'm going too fast for the game to recognize I've eaten enough dots for it to show up (even though that sounds stupid), so can someone investigate exactly how this version of the game decides when to give you the fruits? The movie file is right here for investigation.

As I first started playing Ms. Pac-Man for the NES with my brother, I saw that if you crash into the second player in 2P mode, you fly in the opposite direction at max speed. That got me thinking...how fast can Ms. Pac-Man get? I decided to make a little test in TASEditor here. It turns out, rather fast. Could something like this be accepted on TASVideos? I believe the crash mechanic especially gives extra entertainment value to this game. Here is a temp encode of the first level, for those who don't wanna download the movie file.

Well, I found a TI-83 ROM image (no link by request of adelikat), but I am having trouble finding a short yet sweet video game to code. Also, because of TASEditor's existence, I am not used to the method I have to use. TAStudio does not do its specified functions for me.

Probably a feature... At least it definitely doesn't look like a bug in the site source code (the checks are explicit). There's also "(too large text suppressed)". That's if size is 19 or more.

Here is the site logo at font size 0 or 1 (they are the same, but I use 0 in this example). TASVideos.org, when human skills are just not enough All other teeny font sizes: TASVideos.org, when human skills are just not enough Easter Egg or bug?

I don't think sub-18 is possible. I think the limit is a little above 19 seconds. That is, unless we find a super awesome glitch that just makes this 4 times shorter :)
Oh, please. It's an A2600 game. Of course you'll find one!

I am only having trouble with computer access. Also, when my mom sees me on my computer, she starts rambling on and on about how doing this without asking is wrong. She thinks I'm listening.

I did. They were in a .zip file in the ROMs folder. And the worst part is, it works good on MAME! (Or Puckman, anyways.) If only someone made a functioning rerecording version of MAME! Edit: Now they have one, but I can't find the ROM directory!

It's hard to do a TAS with a lua script with this effect, and every time I had to make a tweak, I had to sit for about 1-2 minutes and restart the lua script to change it! (That is why TASEdit was used.)
